You know we can’t have a new season of TV without having new competition game shows in the schedule. This June, there are 3 in the lineup – “72 Hours,” is a hi-tech game of hide-and seek; “The Hero,” is a challenging competition; and “Exit,” is a brain game. “Devious Maids” and “Mistresses” will be scandalous, humanity will be put under a magnifying glass in Stephen King’s “Under the Dome,” dinosaurs appear in Vancouver in “Primeval: New World,” and “Sinbad” takes to the high seas.

From the title alone, I thought this would be a competition for a new action hero. I was partly right. It is a competition for a possible purse of $1 million. Will his childhood friends Jo and Lacey (Maddie Hasson and Kylie Bunbury) stand by him? The drama also stars, Kimberly Quinn, Sam Robards, Ashton Moio and Denise Richards. (My first gut reaction when reading the show description is that the lead character sounds similar to Norman Bates in “Bates Motel.”)
