It’s time for my 2013 NFL week 8 predictions and picks. Who will escape with victories as we approach the middle of the season?
Let’s start with Carolina at Tampa Bay. The Panthers are rolling of late with a combination of great defense and Cam Newton inspired offense. The Bucs are starting anew with Mike Glennon at quarterback. My predictions and picks say the Panthers will win going away in this one 26-23.
Dallas at Detroit is also on tape for NFL week 8. Can the Cowboys win a big contest on the road against the Lions? My prediction is Tony Romo finds a way to play the role of hero as Dallas escapes with a 31-23 victory.
Cleveland tries to topple undefeated Kansas City. The Chiefs are certainly due for a let down. But it won’t happen this week. The Chiefs roll to a 26-6 victory.
Miami visits New England as Tom Brady tries to get on track. The Patriots uncork the offense finally and win easily 31-13.
Buffalo is on the road at New Orleans where the Saints look nearly unbeatable of late. Drew Brees continues the great season with 3 touchdowns as New Orleans cruises 33-10.
Philadelphia hosts the New York Giants in a game that should be winnable if the Eagles weren’t down to their 8th string quarterback. I am going with the Giants for the upset here, 28-24.
San Francisco is in Jacksonville for what looks like a horrible game. The Jags haven’t really been that competitive-and that’s an understatement. 49’ers blast Jacksonville 36-12.
Cincy hosts the New York Jets for another NFL week 8 match up. What are my predictions and picks for this one? I’ll take the road team as the Bengals find a way to win late against a stubborn New York team, 23-21.
Pittsburgh visits Oakland also in week eight. Can the Steelers put up back to back wins? I think the answer is yes. Steelers win 17-13 as the black and gold finally gets some momentum.
Denver hosts Washington also in Week 8. Can the Redskins pick up a huge road win? I don’t think Washington will be able to keep up with the 42 points I expect Denver to score. Broncos roll to a 42-20 victory.
Arizona entertains Atlanta in what could be an interesting matchup. The Cardinals could definitely get the victory here if they can hold onto the ball. I expect Arizona to escape to the tune of a 32-24 victory.
Minnesota gets to welcome Green Bay in week eight. The Vikings may have a new quarterback but it won’t make much difference. Aaron Rodgers rises to the occassion with 4 touchdown passes in a 34-20 Packers win.
Seattle visits St. Louis on Monday night. My predictions and picks for this one say the Seahawks roll to a 27-6 victory.
That’s it for my 2013 NFL Week 8 predictions and picks.
