It’s time for my 2013 NFL week 9 predictions and picks. Who will emerge with victories? Which teams will walk away with a tough loss?
Let’s start my NFL picks with Cincinnati at Miami. This could be a tremendous Thursday night matchup. The Dolphins will be tough to be at home but the Bengals have a ton of talent. My gut feeling is this game will go into overtime where the Bengals escape with a 19-16 victory.
On Sunday, Kansas City travels to Buffalo. I don’t anticipate the Chiefs losing this contest but it definitely could be upset territory against an unsuspecting Bills squad. Still, I believe the Chiefs just have too much power on defense. They will suffocate the Bills in a 23-12 victory.
Next up for my NFL week 9 picks and predictions is Minnesota at Dallas. The Cowboys should roll in this one even if Adrian Peterson puts up huge numbers. Cowboys win easy 34-13.
Tennessee travels to St. Louis to face their former coach Jeff Fisher. Fisher doesn’t have many options after losing his starting quarterback and the Titans win a road game 23-21.
New Orleans visits the New York Jets in another week nine match up. Can the Jets slow down the Saints offense? I don’t think New York will be able to put up enough points to keep up. Saints roll to a 33-21 victory on the road.
Washington hosts San Diego elsewhere. The Redskins certainly could pull off the win over the Chargers in this one if RGIII plays up to his potential. That’s exactly what I think happens as Washington wins 33-23.
Carolina entertains Atlanta in what looks to be a great game on paper. I don’t think it will happen. The Panthers roll to a 36-20 victory at home.
Philadelphia travels to Oakland to face the Raiders. I expect the Raiders to play well enough to win a tight one in overtime 26-23.
Tampa Bay visits Seattle in another week 9 tilt. What are my picks and predictions for this game? I think Seattle really gets going and wins huge by a 38-13 final.
Baltimore is at Cleveland also in week nine. The Browns could certainly win at home against the Ravens and my gut says Cleveland in a close game. However, my head says the Ravens squeak out a very close 16-13 victory.
New England entertains Pittsburgh. Can the Steelers turn their season around and make a run? The answer in the short term is no. The Patriots don’t muster a ton of points but find a way to win 19-14 over the Steelers.
Indianapolis is in Houston for the Sunday night game. The Colts should win here but the Texans seem to play much better at home. Andrew Luck is picked off 3 times as Houston wins a big one 24-20.
The Monday night game features Chicago at Green Bay. The Bears without Jay Cutler will struggle often on the road for a 34-13 loss.
That’s it for my 2013 NFL week 9 picks and predictions.
