3 Tips to Get You Excited for Going Back to School

by fat vox

Alright, so we all agree that school can be the most annoying part of our day to day lives but either way we cannot change the fact that it is a necessity and the molding stone to our future. I clearly remember those days when I had to get back to school, especially after a fun summer break. It was one of the worst and most dragging feeling I’ve ever felt. But none the less, I had to accept the fact that summer was over and school was on it’s way to greeting me hello again. I, somehow managed to get excited for school by reading articles and blogs on the internet on how to turn my negativity for school into a positive one. So, I thought why not share my own personal opinions on how I get hyped/excited for my first days back in school? And here they are…

First thing to keep in mind about getting excited for school is, of course, figuring out your outfit for the first day back. You somehow want to pick something that makes you feel, for one, comfortable and second, well put together. So if you have a favorite outfit that you love inside your closet already, reserve that for your first day of school. If you don’t, no worries. Make time to go out with your family or friends to the mall and try to pick something out for your first day of school! Remember to go for something that is comfy and cute at the same time!

Secondly I’d like to point out is, of course, getting all the school supplies needed ahead of time. Pens, papers, books, binders, highlighters, backpacks, pencil cases, whatever it is you think you will be needing for the start of school, get it ahead of time, it will save you all the headache and tension later on. Keeping yourself ready and organized is the key!

Third, Inspiration! What I’d like to do a week before school starts, is hang little posters that I’ve made myself on my bedroom wall with inspirational quotes and encouraging words on them. They somehow make me feel a little bit better about school and it gets me quite excited to actually start studying and getting good grades. I mostly put up encouraging words like ” If you’re not in the position of helping yourself out, do it for your family. ” Or I put up inspiration quotes from my favorite authors. One of which is by my favorite poet, Maya Angelou, and she said ” When you know better, you do better. ” Words like that would surely help you keep up your positivity and excitement for school!

Going back to school may not be as much of an excitement to anyone but we always have to try to look at the big picture. What I’ve learned from my past, is that school is actually one of the most biggest aspect in my life. I would’t be who I am today without the education and experiences I’ve had in school. So don’t take it for granted and look at school as a stepping stone to achieving your big dreams! Remember, dreams do come true to those who work hard for them. So get out those pencils and notebooks and start working hard for your dreams to come true! Good luck.
