Chakra healing is a science that has been around for hundreds of years and is finally making a comeback in modern medicine. Trending all through blogs, Pinterest and even The Dr. Oz Show, many are looking to learn as much as they can about their Chakras in order to promote healing in their bodies and overall healthy living.
But with so much information out there on all seven Chakras, how to actually get started can seem overwhelming. Because of that, I created a very simple and easy-to-use cheat sheet on how to determine which Chakras are blocked and exactly what to do to fix it.
Now you can stop searching through endless articles and jump right into full body healing!
What Are the Chakras?
Chakras are located down our back from the top of our head to the base of our spine. The word Chakra is Sanskrit for wheel. These wheels are the seven centers in our body through which all energy flows. If any Chakra is blocked, then energy cannot flow freely, thus disrupting our body’s natural flow, causing emotional and physical ailments.
The seven Chakras are, from the bottom, the Root Chakra, Sacral Chakra, Solar Plexus Chakra, Heart Chakra, Throat Chakra, Third Eye Chakra and the Crown Chakra.
Each of these Chakras is directly related to a part of the body and thus affect our overall health. From our digestive system to our fertility to our intuition, it is vital to keep these energy wheels clear and open to allow our body to function as it was designed.
Various things can block our Chakras. The most common are diet, negative thoughts, stress, and sedentary lifestyle. By implementing just a few simple changes in our lives, we can easily unblock all seven of our Chakras and drastically improve our physical and emotional well-being.
Which of Your Chakras are Blocked?
Obviously, the first step to healing any ailment is to determine where the problem lies. The same is true for blocked Chakras. Before we can focus on unblocking specific Chakras, we need to figure out which wheels are blocked. You may discover that many are blocked or you might find you only have one or two that need clearing.
In order to recognize which, if any, of your Chakras are blocked, take a look at the list below. Decide if any symptoms describe you. If so, note the Chakra with which the symptom is associated. Those are the areas you should focus on unblocking.

How to Unblock Your Chakras
Now that you have an idea of which Chakras are blocking the energy flow in your body, it is time to do something about it. There is such an overload of information out there that upon initial search, it may seem overwhelming to implement the various techniques that lead to healing. But it doesn’t have to be.
Unblocking Chakras can actually be a very simple technique that requires less than ten minutes each day for each Chakra. All that is needed for full body healing is one simple word, a basic hand position, directed beginner yoga poses, and a couple of no-brainer diet additions.
Mantras
Mantras are the simplest method to opening your Chakras. They can be done any time and any where and only take a minute. A mantra is simply a word that is chanted over and over again while focusing your thoughts.
Mantras work on two levels. First, the position of your mouth triggers small Chakra points in your tongue and face that are directly linked to the main Chakra points. By awakening these positions, it increases the flow of energy through your wheels, unblocking and opening them. Second, they cause you to mentally focus on the specific area of your body that needs healing. By focusing on parts of your body, you automatically send energy to that point.
A crude example would be to think of a clogged toilet. In order to remove the blockage, you use a plunger to concentrate the force directly through the pipe. The increase of force through the pipe unclogs it and opens the channel. Mantras focus the energy to the appropriate Chakra and force the energy through to unblock it.
When pronouncing the following mantras, keep in mind that the letter “a” is pronounced “ah” and “o” is pronounced “oh.” Try to say the mantra five to ten times while focusing on the area of the body in which the Chakra is located (for example, focus on the navel for Solar Plexus or just above the scalp for Crown).
ROOT CHAKRA

SOLAR PLEXUS CHAKRA

Mudra Chakras
Just as the mouth is full of small Chakra points, different areas of the hands can also be stimulated to help clear blockage. In order to stimulate these points, you can use what are called Mudra Chakras, which are simple hand positions that activate the energy channels to the main wheels.
While there are many different Mudra Chakras which all offer amazing health benefits through Chakra stimulation, it can take quite a long time to learn them all. Instead, I recommend focusing on the following which are the easiest positions to learn and are perfectly geared toward the specific Chakras. These positions can be done anywhere from sitting on the couch to standing in line at the grocery store. Try to hold each Mudra Chakra position for at least five minutes.

Yoga Poses
While the mantras and Mudras focus on the small points connected to the main wheel points, yoga poses stimulate the main Chakras themselves going directly to the source. Many beginners can find yoga overwhelming and daunting, especially when not in good physical shape. But this should not stop anyone from using the following positions to open their Chakras. Each position listed below is a beginner position, and with a little practice, can be mastered and used by even the most inexperienced.

Diet
Finally, as with every other area of our health, diet plays a vital role in the condition of our Chakras. Luckily, a complete diet overall is usually not necessary. Rather, simple additions of fruits and vegetables can work wonders in clearing Chakras and improving their overall functions.
The easiest way to remember which fruits and vegetables to eat is color. The color of the food directly correlates to the color of the Chakra. So red foods will aid the Root Chakra which is represented by the color red, the Heart Chakra, green, will benefit from green foods and so forth.
Shoot to add one or two of each food listed below per blocked Chakra every day. Along with the mantras, Mudras and Yoga poses, you are bound to feel the change in your health within a couple of days.
ROOT CHAKRA
