Some family members want other activities that are not ski-related. Others prefer to hang out indoors or browse though the resort’s shops. Snowshoe Resort, West Virginia
This resort has plenty kids of all ages to do. The Big Top playground offers carnival food, arcade games, inflatable fun, towering rock wall, and more. Snowshoe’s “Kid’s Night Out” program includes a pizza party, arts & crafts, and outdoor activities that will keep kids busy so their parents can unwind alone. There is also a teen center where teens can hang out, play pool, and listen to music.

Northstar Resort at Lake Tahoe, California
Northstar Resort boasts a village brimming with things to do. The village at Northstar has numerous activities for families to bond over from candle making, pottery painting, mosaic, trampoline bungy jumping, shopping, and a movie theater playing newly released films. There are also over a dozen eating establishments that have foods for everyone including crepes, Belgian waffles, gelato, and sushi. A family resort that happens to offer skiing, Rocking Horse Ranch also boasts an indoor water park, horse-drawn sleigh rides, horseback riding, and ice skating on the private lake. Beaver Creek Resort, Colorado

Crested Butte Resort, Colorado
The adventure park has a climbing wall, mini golf, and bungee trampolines. It also offers “Kids Night Out”, which includes a trip to the adventure park, dinner, and games, giving parents the chance to have a night to themselves. Art-loving members of the family can visit the many galleries located in the resort. A chocolate store, book store, and jewelry stores are just a few of the dozens of stores that can be found at Crested Butte.
