Younger children want all their back-to-school supplies labeled with their favorite characters. Whether it’s a cartoon, a game, or their favorite movie character, children love their brands. I know I had my favorites. In our home this year it’s Angry Birds. I have to wonder if I could find some Angry Birds-brand broccoli or carrots if my notoriously picky eater would try it. Well, I couldn’t find broccoli, but I did find some fabulous Angry Birds back-to-school supplies that are sure to delight the kids. Here are the top five.
The lunchbox is THE status symbols for grade schoolers. This one features the red Angry Bird and is metal, so it can take being dropped, sat on, and driven over. Hey, it happens. It is from Party City, but I’m sure it could be found at most retailers.
If experience is any indication, kids will need plenty of erasers. I found these Angry Birds erasers in bulk on eBay. Fifty mini erasers in a stylish zippered pouch shaped like an Angry Bird’s head. It’s even available in red or yellow. With this many in one pouch, you may not have to buy any next year.
3. Angry Birds Backpack
The backpack may be tied with lunchbox, as far as importance. The best example I’ve found so far is one from the Children’s Place. I like it because it appears to be more pliable and softer than some. I’ve been disappointed before by rigid appliqued designs; they break. Plus, it is the only one like it I’ve come across. Limited edition, sure to please.
4. Rain Boots
OK, I know rain boots may not be on the supply list from the teacher, but these are just too cute not to make the list. Winter months can be wet and these little boots will keep toes dry. Even better, they’re only 10 bucks at Walmart.
5. Flash Drive
I know you’re probably thinking a 10-year-old does not need a flash drive. My answer: They will. They can carry files back and forth from home and school on this adorable King Pig flash drive. Maybe I just want one for myself. However, getting our kids familiar with these handy devices is great.
There is so much more. You can find Angry Birds folders, notebooks, pencils, and just about anything imaginable. We certainly didn’t get all of these items on our back-to-school list this year, but kids always need resupplying during Christmas break. I think some of these would make great stocking stuffers. They may actually be excited about getting pencils.
