Healthy Halloween, should be the motto of this year. Instead of having chocolates and candies, it’s time to grab some healthy treats and this thing is applicable on both kids as well as adults. We all complain about the increasing waist line when festivals are around the corner and the reason is simple; too many get together and more of snacks and treats. So what should we do? Control!! Neah.. Festivals come once in a year, so we should enjoy these days but just keeping healthy tips in mind. In today’s post I am sharing 5 simple yet easy recipes that you can try this season.

First thing that you can give them is spooky or ghostly eggs. In this, simply peeled hard-boiled eggs! Cut a jagged bottom and draw a cute funny or spooky face with a black edible marker and you’ve got yourself a healthy Halloween treat.

With eggs you can also make some, deviled eggs and make small little spiders over using black olives. Kids will get super excited, and this way you are treating them a protein-packed food.

Chicken recipes are another interesting treat that you can give to them. Just cut out the ghostly shapes of bread and put some healthy chicken salad spread made of mayo or Greek yoghurt. In this spread, use shredded chicken breasts. Chicken breasts are another protein rich source.

Who don’t like oranges but this Halloween season; just take a peeled orange with a celery steam to make it look like a pumpkin. It’s a great sugar replacement. Give this to them instead of candies and sugar. There is one more treat made of fruit is Banana Mummies, just take frozen banana chunks and drizzle candy coatings and edible eyes or raisins.

Another cute yet simple treat is mummy pizza. Just take some small pizza base and put salsa or pizza sauce over it, cover this with strips of cheese in a zig-zag manner to give it a feel of mummy bandages. And make eyes with chopped olives. Simple isn’t it!

Using guacamole you can create more spookiness in your treat. The green color of guacamole is perfect dip recipe for the season. Use your creativity to make a perfect use of it. Serve them with spooky chips and tortillas which are available in the local market.
