5 Top Video Games Coming in 2014

by fat vox

2014 will be a great year for video game players who are looking forward to epic games being released in their favorite series. This article will look at five of the most exciting games coming out this year.

1. Elder Scrolls Online

From Arena (1994), to Skyrim (2011), the Elder Scrolls series has changed action role-playing games forever. On April 4, 2014, The Elder Scrolls Online will be released and offers a breakthrough in massively multiplayer online (MMO) gaming. The game is high fantasy, lore-heavy, and has intuitive combat controls. This is the first MMO game Bethesda Softworks has released and it is widely anticipated by Elder Scrolls fans and game review magazines.

2. The Sims 4

The Sims was released in February 2000 and each game in the series has improved. The Sims is a simulation game in which players control virtual people and can build houses, create families, and die. The Sims 4 offers new benefits including the ability to manipulate emotions. The game was scheduled for release in spring 2014 but the release date is now unknown, although it is rumored to be in September 2014. However, creators assure players that it will be available this year.

3. Watch Dogs

Watch Dogs is an action-adventure game slated for release in the second quarter of 2014. The game is open sandbox, like Assassin’s Creed and Grand Theft Auto. It is set in a near future, dystopian Chicago. The game focuses on computer security with an antihero who is capable of hacking into the citywide computer network.

4. Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes

The Metal Gear Solid series, created by Konami, has a global fan base. The original Metal Gear game was released in 1987 and Metal Gear Solid was released in 1998. Metal Gear Solid combines action, adventure, and stealth into a single-player mesmerizing game. The previous games have been considered movie-like due to the detailed and interactive cinematics, and Ground Zeroes is not expected to be different. It should be released on March 18, 2014 in North America and March 20, 2014 in Japan and Europe.

5. Dragon Age: Inquisition

Developed by BioWare, and released by Electronic Arts, Dragon Age: Origins (2009) is a role-playing game (RPG) that was widely acclaimed for its engaging style and versatility. Dragon Age: Inquisitions, scheduled for release in fall 2014, is highly anticipated because creators have revitalized the series by making it similar to Origins. There is a strong emphasis on character customization, combat, romance, and the player’s ability to shape their own story.

Conclusion

This year is exciting for video game players of all ages. The five games listed above should bring hours of joy and engaging gameplay to fans.
