The park also offers scuba diving, canoeing & kayaking, hiking, swimming, a shuttle service and a concession stand. Blackwater River State Park
As one of the best river tubing locations near Tallahassee, the Blackwater River State Park offers a fun filled day for the entire family. This unique State Park borders the Blackwater River State Forest and offers some of the best wildlife viewing and river tubing in the state. Although the park does not rent tubes or offer shuttle service, there are local venders that offer both. The Blackwater River is great for tubing with kids because it is a slow moving river and is usually only a couple of feet deep.
This unique Tallahassee river tubing destination offers so much more than tubing. Part of the Florida Trail is located on the northern end of the Blackwater River State Park. Juniper Creek Trail is one of the most amazing hiking trails in the state. After river tubing, take the kids on a short hike along the creek or you may hike the entire length of 8.1 miles.
