About The Author:

Dominique Wilkins is a licensed cosmetologist, married mother of five children and currently the Indiana chapter president for Authors Promoting Success. Dominique writes short stories in the Urban Christian Fiction genre, to which everyone can relate. In a time where crime is high, morale is low, and drama is everywhere, Dominique writes to encourage her readers and provide them with resources to keep them going and desire to do better. Read real stories about bad parents; jealous neighbors; backstabbing friends; cheating; love; pain; and the ability to inspire change or provide a life lesson. Transferring a decade of emotional support and encouragement from the beauty shop to the pages, these stories are written with biblical messages intermingled for the reader to refer back to or research for more healing on their particular need directly from The Bible. About This Book:

The Audacity of You outlines situations of human inconsideration. Through a series of anecdotes, author Dominique Wilkins explores real-life scenarios where the victim’s response could only be, “The audacity of you.” While the book has the potential to deteriorate into a rant about perceived slights and offenses, instead it takes a lighthearted look at the stories of those who dared such behavior. Readers will identify with, laugh at, and shake their heads when they read about Eugene’s experience with a fellow’s gambler’s lack of loyalty, or the miserly Ernesha Olsen who refuses to share, but constantly expects handouts from others. The nerviest tale is of seventy-two-year-old May who shoveled her driveway while younger neighbors looked on, then left their trash on her lawn, and had the audacity to park in her driveway because it was the only one in the neighborhood that was shoveled. These and many other stories will leave you shaking your head in disbelief and muttering, “The Audacity of You!” Dominique Wilkins has used actual events to demonstrate the extent of human’s rudeness, inconsideration, and downright unkindness toward friends, family, and neighbors. You’ll identify with the stories and want to contribute a “The Audacity of You!” tale or two from your own experiences. Indeed, the appeal of The Audacity of You lies in the fact that we’ve all been there. Read either one scenario at a time or cover to cover “The Audacity of You!” will leave you shaking your head in disbelief but chuckling too!

The Audacity Of You Book Review:

Before you decide to read this book, you need to understand the meaning of the word “Audacity.” The definition of Audacity is boldness or daring, especially with confident or arrogant disregard for personal safety, Conventional thought, or other restrictions. It can also mean effrontery or insolence; shameless boldness. An example of that, “His questioner’s audacity shocked the lecturer.” All of the short stories in this book deal with the audacity of that particular person’s behavior. This book is a collection of short stories, each scenario a engaging drama of one person doing something that is self-centered or simply inappropriate. The author puts scriptures at the end of each story that remind us that such behavior is unacceptable at all. Dominque allows God guide her pen to write these short dramas to minister to her reader on how to be on their best behavior. If you are expecting a happy ending to each story then you will be disappointed. Dominque wanted to show you how your self-centered behavior can affect someone. The purpose of this book was written to illustrate with the primary understanding of individuals not really thinking through their actions and how not to act. This was my first book that I read by Dominque Wilkins. I was able to read this book in an hour. The book was so short but it was some great lessons that we can learn from.

There were so many situations where the characters are either having to deal with their own attitude or the attitude of others. There are many people in our lives have their own baggage and they will try their best to bring us down to their level. I love the way how the author uses the Word of God helping us how to deal with baggages with our lives. Unfornantely there are some people who will take your kindness for weakness. They will try to take an advantages of you and don’t care that you will get hurt in the process. Dominque writes these short stories that base of what happen in the real world. You will definitely with benefit from reading her book. We all know somebody in our lives whom have the audacity to treat us without thinking about the consequences. All of our actions have ramification whether we perceive it or not. Definitely read this book for yourself to see how you can change the way in how you treat someone. Thank you Dominque Wilkins for reminding us how our behaviors will affect others through this book.
