Burning Questions About Pretty Little Liars Spin-Off, Ravenswood

by fat vox

It wouldn’t be a Pretty Little Liars spin-off without a million unanswered questions. Now that the PLL fandom has recovered from the shocking news of the new spin-off Ravenswood, their questions are beginning to flood the internet and fan-sites.

The Cast.

Have any actors or actresses been cast to play the characters of Ravenswood yet? Will some of the characters from PLL appear on the new show? Amazing fresh new actors like Troian Bellisario and Keegan Allen have definitely been key factors when it comes to the success of Pretty Little Liars, it makes you wonder what the cast of Ravenswood will be like. Hopefully they use the same casting director; I don’t think anyone would mind meeting another Keegan!

Paranormal.

Is Ravenswood going to have a paranormal edge to it? Considering the promo video was tossing around the idea of a “curse plaguing a town for five generations” and “the curse is about to strike again,” it could definitely be a possibility. Sure there probably won’t be any vampires or werewolves, but something sounds a little too farfetched. Pretty Little Liars has never gone down the supernatural road before, that’s part of the charm of it, everything on the show could happen to anyone of us.

How much will they be “spinning-off?”

Generally when a show gets a spin-off, the new series contains some of the original show’s characters and story-line. This opens up a whole new realm of possibilities for the PLL plot. Are some of the characters from Rosewood going to move to Ravenswood, or maybe they moved to Rosewood to get away from the curse in Ravenswood. Or perhaps the “curse” of Ravenswood is that you are stalked by the “A Team?” Could Alison DiLaurentis have been living in Ravenswood while she was pretending to be dead? As you can see the possibilities are endless. Then again maybe the two shows may have absolutely nothing in common except for the names of the towns.

How Does Sara Feel About Ravenswood?

Although Marlene King and her team of writers have added a few of their own characters and plot-twists, it is no secret that Pretty Little Liars is based on the series of books written by NY Times Best Seller and author Sara Shepard. Will she be involved in developing the new series Ravenswood since it is a spin-off based on her original series? It also makes you wonder how well the series will do since the writers and creators have no blue-print to follow like they do when they are writing episodes of PLL.

Is This The Lying Game’s Replacement?

Although big things are obviously happening for Pretty Little Liars, the show’s sister-series which was based on a different series of books by Sara Shepard has been struggling to stay afloat. The season two finale of The Lying Game aired over two weeks ago and there is still no news of a renewal. Does the introduction of Ravenswood mean ABC Family has decided not to order another season of The Lying Game?
