Businesses Don’t Donate Without a Catch

by fat vox

In today’s world, businesses speak about poverty but never directly do anything about it without a catch. Many people have been wondering why and whether these businesses are attempting to put themselves first before the real world dilemmas. Although it would seem they don’t care, they really do. The truth is in the way business works: you need a profit in order to keep your business.

Many businesses encourage consumers to buy their products to have a certain percentage of the profit donated to a specific organization or cause. This type of advertisement schemes helps businesses increase profits while helping those in need. There is no way to increase the percentage of commission that the organizations get donated if the profits aren’t up there. There are certain rules and guidelines behind business that makes it a formidable and difficult industry to work it, especially in this area.

One thing the common consumer does not know about business is that sometimes products cannot be any cheaper. Thanks to the lack of understanding and sympathy, buyers tend to think higher prices are linked to thoughts of greed. It is the way that r business works. People have to make a living somehow.

Without a catch, the business will either struggle or go out of business. Typically the best time to donate money would be when the business has reached its peak from a very long formidable business lifetime. Bill Gates, for example, has created the Gates Millenium Scholarship Program for students to achieve their goals in higher education. This scholarship is awarded to many every year.

Business owners today perhaps have been attempting to find a way around these laws of business. One of the laws states that if you increase the price of a product, that product will attract less buyers. In today’s scenarios, there are an increasing amount of competition in every corner. If a business owner were to increase any prices in order to increase profits, they would quickly go out of business. With that being said, it is very difficult to give more for the good of humanity if there isn’t any profits from it. There has to be a catch.

Walmart, for example, promises to give “Always Low Prices” to their customers. In order to comply with that, they needed to pull some strings in order to keep the profits coming in while giving lower prices to consumers. People don’t understand that; they think the products are low-priced because Walmart bought them at a low price. I can tell you is that this Is the type of real life problem that businesses face every day. “How can we lower the prices?” A friend’s aunt works at a Walmart in Palm Desert, CA and told me that in order to lower the prices they lowered the amount of benefits and hourly wage to the workers. Whether it is a valid statement or not really doesn’t matter. As long as us as people understand what all of this means, it’s good to go.

You can’t increase donations if you just don’t have the money. There are lots of expenses that are made in order to keep the business running. It’s time to change the way you think of businesses. Whether or not the business is worth your time, respect it for trying to be there. It’s people like us and them that make the world what it is today.
