After a long stressful day, I like to soak in a tub full of my homemade calming jasmine rose milk bath soak. Jasmine is known for its mind and body calming properties and it helps relieve mild depression while the r ose is known for its uplifting stress relieving properties. The milk in the soak brings nourishment and softness to the skin, which helps the skin and body look and feel youthful and beautiful naturally.
Ingredients Needed
The ingredients needed to make the soak are four cups of buttermilk powder or whole milk powder, two cups of Epsom salt, three cups of aluminum free baking soda, twenty five to thirty drops of jasmine essential oil and fifteen drops of rose absolute oil. You may also use a half cup of dried jasmine flowers and a forth cup of dried rose petals in the soak to make the bath soak more enchanting. If you do not have these ingredients in your kitchen already, you can easily find them at an herbal shop or whole food grocery store near you.
Materials Needed
The materials you will need are a large glass jar with a bath soak scoop. You can find these materials in a craft shop. You will also need a mixing bowl and wooden spoon to combine the ingredients together with along with some measuring cups.
Making the Soak
To create the soak, carefully measure out all the ingredients and pour them into a large mixing bowl. Next, combine them together with a wooden spoon until they are evenly distributed throughout creating a relaxing soak. Once the soak is made, pour it into a large glass jar and place your bath scoop on top. Next, place the bath soak in a cool dry place near your bathtub for easy use for whenever you are ready to make a lovely relaxing bath with it.
Creating the Relaxing Jasmine Rose Bath
To create a relaxing jasmine rose bath, add five to ten scoops of the soak into a hot bath and allow the jasmine rose scent to release into the air while the soak creates a creamy calming bath with dried flowers floating on top. Next, get into the bath and soak for as long as you need too. I love soaking for up too one to two hours at a time in this bath soak. It is very luxurious and pampering and makes me feel like I am on a mini vacation.
After the bath, I always feel very calm and comforted and my skin is silky soft and smooth with a warm glow to it. I typically massage my body down with a good rose or jasmine oil afterwards for extra pampering and relaxation, but sometimes just crawling into bed and relaxing is wonderful to do too.
On days when I am depressed or just sad and need a mood lifter, this bath soak does just the trick to making me feel good and happy again. I even find the soak relaxing on evenings when I cannot fall asleep because I am simply in pain do to body aches. The jasmine and rose oils in the soak have natural pain relieving properties in them that help relieve muscle tension and stiffness. This is wonderful when your in pain and need natural relief.
