Cassette tape holder
Sometimes, it’s a shame when a product stops being made. Like, when cassettes disappeared, and CD’s took over, that was sort of bad news. Not because people preferred the tapes over the disks but because manufacturers used to make such sweet cassette tape holders. One of my favorite types was the kind made into a small cabinet with a drawer. Pull the drawer out and there were slots for holding many cassette tapes. Another type of cassette holder was a wooden box. It had no cabinet or lid; the box simply had slats to separate the tapes. Since you no longer need that type of storage, set it some place new, and create a cool organizer for most any room in your home.
It’s nice when you can create an organizer without having to actually make or build it. The cassette tape holder is perfect because of that reason In a craft or sewing room, a cassette holder, setting on a shelf, can store many things. Some include folded instructions, zippers, buttons, safety pins, a cloth tape measure, card stock, cutouts, stickers, appliques, scrapbook supplies, and crochet hooks. Hang the cassette tape holder on a wall and it can hold small pieces of folded cloth or felt, folded elastic, and assorted miniatures. The drawer-type organizer is fine for many craft items; the open-face holder is more appropriate for hanging on a wall. Cut small shelves using thin card board or card stock.
At a desk, the cassette holder can help you to organize business cards, paper clips, sticky notes, and so many other things. Choose a drawer-type cassette holder for a sleek look or just set the box-type holder on the surface of your desk. Or, hang one – or more tape holders – on a wall above your desk. When you align several of them you create a set that holds most of your small desk items.
Put a cassette holder in the kitchen and you’ll have a place for recipe cards, leftover pieces of foil or parchment paper (folded), bakers twine, measuring spoons, and other kitchen needs.
Set a cassette holder on a dresser and use it to hold any number of things found in the bedroom. The new organizer has room for rings, chains, hair ribbons, watches, and coins.
A tape holder can also be a display case for certain things, such as a thimble collection. No matter what you store in your cassette tape holder, it will serve a larger purpose than holding those old tapes, so box them up and reuse the actual holder for the greater good.
