I exfoliate my skin from head to toe at least twice a week, but not with a chemical-filled exfoliating scrub that dries out and pollutes my skin with toxins. Instead, I love to make and use one of my favorite homemade exfoliating head-to-toe scrubs. It is my cocoa mint head-to-toe exfoliating moisturizing scrub. Not only does the scrub exfoliate and moisturize the skin, but it also helps prevent signs of aging while firming and toning up the skin and stimulating collagen product due to the caffeine the scrub contains.
The Organic Ingredients Needed
The organic ingredients you will need to make the cocoa mint exfoliating scrub are a cup of vitamin E cream, tablespoon of cocoa powder, fifteen drops of peppermint oil, tablespoon of honey and a cup of white cane sugar. If you want the scrub extra gritty, add an additional forth cup of white cane sugar to the cup.
The reasons I use these ingredients is that they contain powerful antioxidants that keep the skin young, beautiful, radiant and soft. In addition, the cocoa powder depending on the quality you use contains high amounts of caffeine, which is beneficial to the skin. The peppermint and honey is used in the scrub because they provide antibacterial and antiseptic properties that help cleanse and refresh the skin. The peppermint also provides this amazing cooling sensation to the skin and combined with the scent of the cocoa powder create this heavenly chocolate mint scent that is uplifting. The sugar is used because it is a natural skin-exfoliating ingredient and it helps rid the dead layer of skin from all areas of the body well.
Creating the Cocoa Mint Head to Toe Scrub
The easiest why I find to create the cocoa mint head to toe scrub is by carefully measuring out all the ingredients and pouring them into a medium sized glass-mixing bowl. Then I combine them together with a wire whisk until I get a sugary chocolaty gritty mixture with a chocolate mint scent. Once the scrub is made, I scoop it carefully into a large wide mouth jar that is easy to get my hands in and out of to use the scrub easily. After, I store the scrub in the bathroom on the shelf until I am ready to use it in the shower or my bath for exfoliating my skin.
Using the Cocoa Mint Scrub
The way I find easiest to use the skin is to soak my skin down with warm water with either a shower or bath before using the scrub. This will help soften and loosen up the dead layer of skin it is easier to exfoliate. After, I take a few handfuls of the scrub and start by exfoliating my face, neck and shoulders first. Then, I take a few more scoops of the scrub and do my arms, stomach, and legs. The cocoa mint scrub will be messy and give you a chocolaty coating all over your body from head to toe. You will even smell like a chocolate mint candy using the scrub. Once you have exfoliated the skin well with the scrub using small circular motions from head to toe, it is best to rinse off with warm water and soak the skin down again to make sure all the dead skin is rinsed away. After, the skin will be silky soft and smooth with a light chocolate mint scent that is heavenly delicious. You may even find you need to apply a body cream after to help protect the skin from drying out and sun damage. I know I always apply a body cream with SPF after using this scrub to help hydrate and protect my skin and enhance the natural beauty of it.

When you want a natural body scrub that is sweet and delicious for exfoliating the skin from head to toe making and using the cocoa mint exfoliating head to toe body scrub is one of the nicest ones to use. I use it like I said twice weekly and my skin is so soft and young looking and feeling.
