Curved Arm Paisley Wine Chair (Review)

by fat vox

I live in an old 1920’s building and have searched online and offline for a chair with an antique flair that would compliment my living room décor and match my sofa. I wanted a chair that not only looked antique, but was also comfortable for guests to sit on with an old English, French, or Victorian style. I also wanted it to look expensive without being expensive. After searching for so long, I finally found the chair of my dreams and it is the Curved Arm Paisley Wine Chair.

The wood accent chair is beautiful, stylish, regal, and looks exactly the way it does in the picture online. The chair’s upholstered back and seat features a lovely paisley print design with wine/brick colored fabric and the light oak finish with intricate engraved detailing adds an extra touch of elegance to the entire piece.

The chair is built of high quality materials, solid construction, and the fabric on the back and seat of the chair is a special blend of Cotton, Rayon, and Polyester. The oak wood frame has a nice sheen to it along with artfully made etching detailing that make the chair appear to be a lot more expensive than it really is. Measuring 26 inches wide and 38 inches high, the Curved Arm Paisley Wine Chair is large enough to accommodate taller people. I also love the high back, because it gives the chair a more vintage look, reminiscent of the late 1800’s.

Even though the Curved Arm Paisley Wine Chair is one of the most beautiful chairs I have ever seen, it is important to know that it does not come pre-assembled and some assembly is required. When the chair arrived, my daughter and I were so excited to take it out of its box. After removing all 7 pieces from the box, along with the screws, bolts, and instructions, my daughter took it upon herself to assemble the chair.

It was not as easy as we thought it would be to assemble the chair. My daughter was eager to put the chair together and I tried to help her when necessary. She tried to follow all of the instructions, but during the final step, when she attempted to attach the arms to the seat and back areas of the chair, the screws/holes were not lining up correctly. The assembly directions that came with the chair are not very good and should have instructed to put the seat on the frame last, not in the beginning. Because of this issue, my daughter had to disassemble the seat, and then attach the arms to both the seat and back frame. It is also important to never tighten the screws before attaching the arms to the seat. After assembling the chair, she had to apply a lot of strength to tighten all of the screws, so that the chair would feel stable and not wobble. It took approximately an hour and a half to completely assemble the chair and although it took awhile, in the end it was all worth it. The chair looked so beautiful. My daughter and I took turns sitting on it to make sure that it was sturdy enough to be sat upon and it definitely was. Even our cat loves to sit on the chair!

The Curved Arm Paisley Wine Chair has an incredible style, great design, and is what I had been looking for a long time. As the days have gone by since the chair arrived at my home, I have been very pleased with it. I love to look at the chair and admire its craftsmanship and sit upon it while drinking a cup of coffee or tea.

The Curved Arm Paisley Wine Chair is classy, beautiful, comfortable, and elegant. Simply lovely!
