There are essential tools needed for and they are the following; nails/or screws, screw driver and hand saw. Nails or screws are fine. Either or is fine. There is no right or wrong way in choosing between the nails or screws. The screws will allow you to take the cart apart at a later time if need be.
Pallets are available in two different materials. For example; they can be found in either plastic or wood. A plastic roller cart will last longer and will not have splinters if became broken. More than one pallet will create two different roller carts. One pallet can create one roller cart. This will determine how high you wish the cart to be. For this project, a wooden pallet will work best because a wooden one will create slots for organization. A plastic pallet will not.
The first step is to cut the wooden pallet in half. This will create the roller cart. The two halves need to be stacked upon each other. This will create the organization and the roller cart. The pallets need to be secured with etiher nails or screws. There is no right or wrong decision as long as the pallets are secured to each other.
Personalization can take place with paint. Before painting can begin, the wood needs to be sanded. The sanding of the wood will prevent the wood from getting splinters and causing injuries. A white wash on the roller cart will be a beautiful design effect. It is very easy to give any piece of furniture a white wash appearance. The basics are to keep paint the roller cart and then wipe paint off. This will give the furniture the appearance of being an old antique.
The final step in order to complete this roller cart project is to add wheels to the bottom of the cart. This will allow the cart to become mobile and easily be transported to different areas of the home. In order to install the wheels to the bottom of the cart is to drill a hole into the bottom of the wood. This will allow the wheels to be screwed into the cart. This project is very easy to complete. In a weekend’s time frame, a roller cart can be completed. This cart helps to keep people and their homes or offices organized and free of clutter.
