Easy and Delicious Ways to Season Baked Waffle Fries

by fat vox

Baked waffle fries are a great alternative to ordinary french fries, especially when served as a side dish. However, they will not taste any different unless they have been seasoned with something other than salt. Try these easy and delicious ways to season your next batch of waffle fries, and enjoy something different with your meal. Seasoning adds tremendous flavor and appeal to sliced baked potatoes of any shape or variety. When generously seasoned, dipping sauces are no longer necessary. They are not recommended because they would ultimately cover or alter the flavor. When prepared with delicious seasonings, they will not require anything more.

Add Garlic Salt and Freshly Ground Black Pepper

Season your next batch of baked waffle fries with garlic salt and freshly ground black pepper, but do not add the mixture right away. For best results, allow them to bake for approximately ten minutes before seasoning. It will better adhere to the potatoes, even if they are baked until crisp and golden brown.

Sprinkle Parmesan Cheese and Italian Seasoning on Waffle Fries

If you like food with Italian flare, sprinkle a mixture of grated parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning and a little sea salt on partially baked waffle fries. They will taste incredible, and nothing like ordinary peeled and sliced baked potatoes. Serve them with panini or Italian beef sandwiches. They are the ideal side dish with any hot or cold Italian sandwich.

Add Lemon Pepper Seasoning

Lemon pepper seasoning is not just for poultry. Try it on waffle fries. The tangy lemon, mouth-watering salt and flavorful black pepper is phenomenal on waffle fries and many other sliced baked potato side dishes. The combination of flavors is complimentary. They are especially tasty with grilled chicken, even if the chicken is seasoned in a completely different way.

Use a Favorite Creole Blend

If you prefer waffle fries with a little zing, add Creole seasoning about ten minutes after placing them in the oven. In addition to zest, it will also add tremendous flavor. Buy your favorite blend of Creole spices, and treat yourself to a unique and delicious side dish with French Louisiana flair.

Make Hot and Spicy Waffle Fries with a Cayenne Pepper Blend

Creole seasoning has tremendous flavor and zest, but if you prefer hot and spicy waffle fries, add a blend of cayenne pepper, freshly ground black pepper and garlic salt. Be careful when adding the cayenne pepper. A little goes a very long way when creating a seasoning blend for topping waffle fries. Create your perfect blend, and keep it on hand for all of your sliced baked potato side dishes.
