When mornings are brisk and fall is in the air, it is time to pack away the summer decor and pull out items for the new season. If you do not have much in the way of tabletop decorations, create a few new items for your seasonal collection. The most impressive works of home decor are not from the store. You can make easy autumn embellishments that include flickering flameless candles for a whole lot less. They are unique and colorful, and they will rival the most expensive store-bought options on your dining table.
Wrap Clear Votive Holders with Colorful Fall Leaves
After autumn leaves change from green to beautiful warm hues, they can be used for creative home decorating purposes. They are often pressed in between the pages of heavy books, but they can also be used in unique and highly impressive ways. Select your favorite fall leaves from those on the ground. They must be fresh and pliable. Place small glass votive candle holders in the center of each one, and gently wrap the sides. Use jute twine to hold the fall wrappings in place. When flameless candles are added, they will beautifully illuminate the colorful leaves. They make fantastic dining table decorations, and they can be easily removed and changed when dry throughout the fall.
Fill a Tray with Pinecones and a Unique Flameless Candle Display
Candle trays make fantastic display bases for seasonal decor, especially autumn decorations. Use a candle tray to hold an array of pinecones and a unique candle display. Place flameless candles in holders of varying heights, and tuck several colorful autumn leaves in between the pinecones. They will look phenomenal, especially when the flameless candles are turned on. The flickering variety is especially lovely on a dining table.
Layer Popcorn Kernels in a Canning Jar
Canning jars are iconic of fall. Autumn is the time when harvests are put up for the winter. They can also be used to make unique dining table luminaries. Begin by placing flameless candles in the bottoms of the jars. Be sure to set the timers. After they are covered in layers of popcorn kernels, the decorations will be ruined if they need to be removed.
After they are turned on and positioned in the bottom of the jar, layer popcorn kernels over the top. They should completely cover the candles. Layer another type of kernel over the others. They come in many different varieties and beautiful hues. Dried beans or peas can also be used.
Finish by wrapping the neck of the jar with jute twine or raffia in a color of your choice. The candles will come up at the same time every evening, and they will go off at exactly the same time several hours later. The batteries last surprisingly long, and they will serve as gorgeous autumn table decorations until it is time to pull out or create your winter decor.
