Emma Watson might be one of the hottest women in Hollywood, but she isn’t that way on purpose! The “Bling Ring” actress just posed for W magazine’s June/July issue and said she doesn’t think of herself as sexy.
“I’ve never wanted to grow up too fast. I wanted to wear a sports bra until I was 22,” she told the magazine. “The allure of being sexy never really held any excitement for me. I’ve never been in a terrible rush to be seen as a woman.”
We totally get it, Emma: Adulthood isn’t all it’s cracked up to be with all the bills and responsibility … it’s kind of a drag sometimes.
Watson might not want to be sexy, but “Harry Potter” fans disagree. The girl best known as Hermoine regularly tops so-called “hot” lists, including FHM magazine’s “100 Sexiest Women in the World 2013.”
We think the actress is being honest about the “I don’t want to be sexy” thing, but we definitely don’t agree when celebs put themselves down – they’re all hot.
The constant scrutiny – both by the media and fans – is enough to make any famous woman self-conscious about her body.
Just ask Khloe Kardashian: The reality star recently told Cosmopolitan U.K. that she struggles with her self confidence.
“I probably thought I was prettier before I entered the spotlight because being compared to somebody else every day does sort of beat up your spirit and soul,” she said.
However, she’s found the silver lining.
“But it’s made me stronger. I’ve gained another level of confidence,” she added.
Actress Salma Hayek has a life – and a body – millions of women would kill for, but apparently her curvy bod just isn’t what she wants.
“I won a ‘Best Body Award’ from Fitness Magazine and I was too embarrassed to accept it,” Hayek said in 2009. “I actually don’t have a good body…I have acted the part of the girl who has a very good body. If you know how to dress, there’s some tricks you can pull.”
We’d love to know these “tricks,” but it’s pretty obvious that being sexy just comes naturally to Hayek.
Anne Hathaway knocked our socks off in her “Les Miserables” performance, but apparently even winning as Oscar doesn’t make her feel hot.
“I think I’ve got really weird features. I have very large features on a very small head,” Anne Hathaway told InStyle. “…It’s my face. I’m not very pretty.”
We beg to differ, Anne.
Tell us: Do celebs really believe they’re not hot, or is it a way to seem humble?
