Starting a business is hard to do, but starting a business that has the potential to earn six-figures is even harder to do. Below are four businesses you can start on a budget and have the potential to earn a six-figure income.
Cleaning Business
A cleaning business is usually very easy to start up and just about anyone can do it. Your initial investment can be around $100-$200 and once you start earning some money, then you can invest into some better equipment, vehicles and so forth. Basically all you need is common cleaning products such as products designed for cleaning windows, rugs, counter tops and so forth. Also, check with your local city hall to see if you need any special licensing. Usually you won’t need one, but you will need some sort of business license or a DBA (Doing Business As Is) which typically are affordable to get. Once you get that sorted out just start hitting the pavement and find some customers, which should be simple to do. Instead of trying to get residential clients, try to get commercial clients in the long-run. Residential clients are good to have at the start of your business, but commercial clients tend to pay a lot more.
Personal Training
There is a lot of money in being a fitness trainer and all you need is a certificate, which is easy to obtain. Once you have a certificate you can start training clients, but its a good idea to have some sort of liability insurance before you start training clients. If you decide to work at a gym, then the chances are you’ll be covered under their insurance but you will want to get some sort of protection. You can rent out a fitness studio and then start training your own clients there, or you can see if you can train clients at a gym, but the gym may take a certain percentage of your training fee.
Selling Used Clothes
You can make some money selling used clothing, and finding used clothing is easy to do. You can start by selling your own clothes or you can purchase clothing from discount retailers and then resell them. There are many ways to go about selling your used clothing, with the best one being online. It may take a while to build up some steady income doing this, but eventually you can earn very good money selling used clothes.
Social Media Manager
Many companies and individuals do not have time to manage their social media profiles and this is where you can come in. You can become a social media manager and handle company’s social media activities. There are plenty of clients you can work for, and over time you should be able to make a six-figure income, but you may want to make sure that you can deliver to clients before you charge a high price. Make sure to research the market and give companies and individuals a good reason to use you.
Always make sure you do additional research before starting any type of business because you may need additional licensing, certificates and so forth, but it all depends on where you live. Good luck on your endeavor.
