Decorative orbs are some of the latest and greatest decorating accessories, and they are good for more than just filling vases and shallow bowls. They are extraordinarily stylish and incredibly versatile since they can be painted to coordinate with any decorating scheme. They can also be used in a number of stylish and unique ways. Use one or more of these four fabulous ways to decorate with tangled wicker balls, and enhance your home with something different than all of the rest.
Use Tangled Wicker Balls as Globes for Strings of LED Lights
LED lights do not become hot, and they are ideal for decorating the home with items that might otherwise burn. They can be used long past the holidays, especially colors that are not indicative of the season. Use loosely woven tangled wicker balls as globes. Carefully spread the entwined sections, and place a single LED light inside of each one. Encase all of the lights with orbs, and hang them around a window, along the top of a wall or anywhere else desired. They will look amazing, especially colored orbs that are illuminated with white LED lights.
Decorate the Center of a Dining Table or Buffet
Tangled wicker balls do not have to be used with lights to look spectacular. Decorate the center of a dining table or buffet. Instead of using a traditional centerpiece, arrange several orbs down the center of the furnishing. Add acorns, star anise, small pine cones or other natural decor. Be sure to use painted as well as unpainted orbs. They will stand out beautifully against a solid colored tablecloth in a complimentary hue.
String Them across the Fireplace Mantel
LED lights are not the only strings that can be used to decorate with tangled wicker balls. Thread jute twine through an open section. Use knots to keep the orbs from sliding down the twine. Attach the ends of the twine along the mantel using 3M hooks. The adhesive backing will be easy to remove when it comes time for a change, and they will not leave behind sticky residue. Follow product label directions for application and removal.
Display Tangled Wicker Balls on Candlestick Holders
Candlestick holders are good for holding and displaying more than just candles. They make fantastic pedestals for tangled wicker balls. Create a grouping of three candlestick holders, and top them with your very best orbs. If they are not woven too tightly, consider adding battery-operated tea light candles with timers. They will illuminate the orbs while adding to their unique and natural beauty.
