My research as of late has led me to all of the different types of “ghosts” out there. I have found everything from the typical haunted house to ghost trains, houses and scenery. There is a lot of controversy over whether these things are actually “real”. Personally I believe that a person’s perception of a ghostly presence may be altered by what they already know about the house, land, boat ECT. Do I think that this makes these things any less real? No…..
I have found that there are many theories as to what a ghost experience really is. Is it souls that are trapped on earth, Demons playing evil tricks, all in the mind, or something else altogether? Everyone has their own opinion on this. Some people even say that they have been visited by their dead pets.
Many people ask the question if ghosts can be real then what about vampires, werewolves, zombies etc.? I don’t know, I do however know that through research I have found that almost all legends are based in some truth even if only a very small portion. Who knows what all might be out there just waiting for someone to find it? Then again these things may not want to be disturbed…….
As a child did you ever see things that you couldn’t explain? Most children have imaginary friends which are perfectly harmless but what if the “imaginary friend” isn’t so imaginary? I know there are several documented cases of a child having knowledge that is unexplainable. Is it ghosts? Could be.
It seems to me that anything is possible if a person will only open themselves to the unexplained. Most skeptics claim that all paranormal experiences are simply a figment of imagination, a fantasy if you will, but I do not buy that. To quote the great author Edgar Alan Poe “The boundaries which divide Life from Death are at best shadowy and vague. Who shall say where the one ends, and where the other begins?”
Perhaps Mister Poe knew something the rest of us can only ever guess at. One day maybe I will find all of the answers I seek. Then again there may be some things best left to the unknown, always just out of reach of those of us who are always searching, into the unknown reaches of life where most people dare not venture. Are you willing to join in on this quest for knowledge, this journey through unseen reaches, always searching, always wondering? I ask you this, once again in the words of Mister Edgar Alan Poe “is all that we see and seem but a dream within a dream?” Do we really want to know? Perhaps a better question is, are you willing to accept the answer? Because once you know, you can never go back to the way you thought about life and all that it contains before you had that knowledge. Just a warning…….
Props to the Unknown book series
