It has been seven long years since the television series Jon & Kate Plus 8 first aired on TLC. Fans of the show can still remember the reason they first fell in love with the reality TV series.
|In spite of all the drama created between Kate and Jon, their cute little Asian looking kids were what kept us all around. Because the kids were so entertaining to watch, fans like me continued to follow Jon & Kate Plus 8 in spite of their annoying, self-absorbed parents whose negativity and bickering made it nearly unbearable to watch.
Apparently, 2014 is full of a number of unexpected surprises concerning the Gosselin household. The first one was finding twins Mady and Cara in recent news on search engines and YouTube. So, what’s been going on these days with them that has given us the opportunity to get some new pieces of information on these two beautiful girls? The answer once again is however not surprising and that’s television.
The twins’ first appearance occurred on the Today Show. Unfortunately, Kate joined them on the show so that she could pull the invisible puppet strings over her thirteen year old daughters while they sat in the hot seat. According to Kate, the three of them had been asked to come on the show and supposedly, they made the decision as a family to go there for the interview. However, I believe that the interview proves otherwise.
During the interview, Mady was interrupted by her mother a countless number of times. Not only this, she was brutally attacked by Kate for taking a few moments to carefully think out her answers. Cara, on the other hand, remained silent throughout the entire process and was probably wise in doing so.
In my opinion, the girls had been bribed beforehand to rehearse their scripted answers and if they didn’t say the words they were supposed to during the actual interview they would be in big trouble with their mother later. We all know Kate can be manipulative to get what she wants.
For example, she once bribed a furious Mady to get her hair styled in a way she absolutely hated by threatening her. She told her that she had to get her hair done this way if she ever hoped to get the hermit crab she passionately wanted. So when Kate said on national television that she didn’t make them do the interview and that she can’t force her teenage daughters to do anything they don’t want to, I have very high suspicions of the honesty and validity of this statement.
While I am extremely pleased to see Mady and Cara after so long, I feel that they would do well to continue living normal lives as they’ve been doing for the past couple of years. Additionally, I think their mother would do well to do the same.
