Have You Had Your Fix Yet?
There are smokers, non-smokers, quitters, and an in-between? What seemed to be a storm of excitement to smokers around the country has now spread worldwide and has risen new regulations in British healthcare. You’ll be seeing blue eCIGS as a non-prescription medicine on the shelves of convenience stores near your flat.
My First E-CIG
I believe the first time I consumed nicotine from an electronic cigarette, I felt an undying wave quake through my insides. Beginning with my throat, a fireball grew in size that felt more harsh than a Marlboro Red; one of the industry’s harshest cigarettes. If that wasn’t enough of a turn-off, neither was the feeling that flooded my stomach.
E-Cigs Are Like Diet Soda…
There’s a good and a bad to it. You may be losing a few pounds from losing all the sugar, but you get Aspartame, the ingredient that may prevent you from ever having a kid. A cigarette is terrible for you; don’t get me wrong. There is a pleasure that comes with enjoying one. An E-Cig destroys all aspects of this enjoyment and honestly makes a cigarette sound a whole lot more appealing after a few puffs.
So You Want The Truth?
You still want to quit smoking and all you’ve done is taken a few drags of what feels to be a two pound dumb-bell between your fingers and the vibrations in your skull make you think these construction wor kers drilling on your brain aren’t going to be taking a lunch. Don’t smoke anything! The E-Cig regulations are only putting more people onto a nicotine buzz. The American Heart Association claims “nicotine addiction has historically been one of the hardest addictions to break. -at least as hard as heroine.”
In fact, nicotine is poisonous to the human body. Too much of it can cause nervous system failure. The International Programme on Chemical Safety (IPCS) notes that: “Nicotine is one of the most toxic of all poisons and has a rapid onset of action,” and it is stated that it takes only seven seconds for nicotine to reach the brain. Think of the constant amount of puffs you unknowingly could be taking because your E-Cig doesn’t eventually burn out like a cigarette butt. Try not to get the shakes!
What Is Good About Regulation
Well for one, The Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency ( MHRA ) thinks that E-Cigs are risky. The varying amounts of nicotine in each receptor makes them only want to make the item more safe. They also found contaminants in some brands. If you think about it, patches and gums for future-quitters are regulated. Either way though, danger lurks in the constant nicotine buzz sticks we call E-Cigs. If you want to quit, stop smoking all together!
