Anxiety and panic attacks plague me at least three to four times per month. The main reasons why these attacks occur are due to physical and mental stresses, a disruption in the hormone balance and extreme exhaustion. A remedy I have started using and have found effective is my holy basil herb blend tea. The tea relieves all conditions mentioned, but it also helps strengthen the body so it can better handle stressful situations, physically and mentally, so anxiety and panic attacks do not happen as often or as strongly when the due occur.
Organic Herbs Needed for the Holy Basil Herb Blend Tea
When I make my holy basil herb blend tea, I use my own freshly dried herbs I have harvested from my garden. If you don’t have the luxury of harvesting and drying your own herbs for this stress relieving herbal tea you can find all the herbs about to be mentioned at your local herbal shop or organic whole food store.
The first herb you will need to make the tea is dried holy basil. Holy basil is useful for treating physical and mental stresses due to the over exhaustion, illness and depression. The reason why is because the herb has antibacterial, antiviral, sedative, pain relieving, anti cancerous and digestive medicinal properties in it. Along with all these medicinal properties holy basil has the ability to balance out hormone levels, build up immunity, bring calmness to the body, and mind naturally.
The second herb needed is dill seed. I use dill seed in my holy basil herb blend tea because most people when they are stressed end up with heartburn or a cramped up tummy. Dill helps aid in digestion, which helps prevent heartburn during stress. Stress also triggers IBS flare-ups and ulcers in the stomach lining. Using dill in your tea when you are stress out can help prevent the digestive system from becoming disrupted.
The next herb needed is dried eleuthero root. The herb helps the body adapt to stress so it can better handle it during physically and mentally exhaustion, unbalanced hormone levels and illness, which helps prevent and relieve anxiety and panic attacks.
Finally yet importantly, peppermint is needed. Peppermint uplifts the spirits, aids in digestion, promotes relaxation and cleanses the body from toxins while nourishing it with nutrients that help fight off illness and fatigue. Peppermint also provides a soothing aroma that calms a mind that constantly over thinks.
Making the Holy Basil Herb Blend Tea
To make the holy basil herb tea measure out a teaspoon of each dried herb and place them into a tea steeper tool such as a ball, strainer or spoon. Then place the tea steeper tool into a mug or teapot that holds at least twelve fluid ounces. After, pour boiling water over the steeper into the mug or teapot until full. Then allow the tea to steep for fifteen to twenty minutes to draw out the medicinal healing and calming properties of the tea. As the tea steeps, a basil mint aroma will come from it. Breathing in the aroma alone is calming and stress relieving, and can go along ways for reducing anxiety and panic attacks. Once the time is up, sip on the tea slowly in a peaceful area such as a garden, quiet room, near a candle or outside in the sunshine. As you sip the tea, think positive thoughts and breathe deeply. This will help calm you greatly. I know these actions work for me while I sip on the tea myself.
Bottom Line for Holy Basil Tea
Anxiety and panic attacks can disrupt your day and mood, but you can relieve them naturally by using the holy basil blend tea remedy I use. Again, I find it very calming and uplifting to my mood so I can get on with my day. However, those allergic to any of the herbs in this tea remedy should not use it for relieving your condition naturally.
