How to Lose 10 Pounds in 2 Weeks

by fat vox

While I was in college, one of the most exciting times was getting ready for spring break, and that is when I created this diet for myself. I had tried everything to gradually lose a little I weight for months leading up to our trip, but as many of us do, I would be good for a week or so and then slip back into old habits. Before I knew it, spring break was only 2 weeks away. I had to act fast, and with a little bit of determination I was able to lose 15 pounds. I assume some of this was water weight, so in effort to be conservative, I will venture to say that anyone who follows this method may lose at least 10 pounds.

Breakfast
For breakfast I would have one container of Greek yogurt. Greek yogurt is low in calories, has so many health benefits, and it is full of protein. I found that after a couple of days, I was getting so full that I could not even finish the entire container.
As far as drinks go in the morning, hot water with lemon is one of the best things you can drink. Lemon water aids in digestion, and can even improve your skin.

Lunch
For lunch, I admit I would keep it very light. I feel that if you consume a heavy lunch, you are actually more likely to over eat at dinner because you feel that you have already “let yourself go” for the day. Many may disagree, this is just my opinion.
Alternate between the following:

  • Broccoli with ranch (or any dressing you like): This is light but very filling. Broccoli is full of fiber so it is great to have for lunch in a diet like this. If you have a tendency to over do it with ranch, it is also good if you water it down a little and add some salt and pepper. This will help cut out some of the calories.
  • Spring mix/baby greens with light balsamic vinaigrette: I probably and this the most, the salad dressing is about 20 calories a serving, and the lettuce is next to nothing.

With either of these I would also eat an orange (anything with vitamin C will be great) if I wanted something extra. Vitamin C reduces belly fat.

Dinner
Alternate between the following:

  • Tuna: Tuna is full of protein, and 1 can in water is about 200-300 calories. To give it flavor, add mustard instead of mayonnaise, and any seasoning you like.
  • Steamers Vegetables: These vegetable packs are so delicious and so filling, you get a lot of food for a very low amount of calories.
  • Tomato Soup: You may have just about any can of soup that you like, they are typically low in calories and also very filling.

By the end of the week, I had gone from 123 pounds to 108 pounds. And you can do this too. The first day or two are the most difficult, but if you can get past that then the rest is a breeze. Trust me, this is a diet that works.
