Today I’d like to explain how a Google Plus business page is created. I’m assuming most of us already have a personal page, right? Good, then let’s get started!
How to Make a Google Plus Business Page
Once you’re logged in to your Google Plus account immediately look to your left hand side. You’ll notice a vertical task bar with the following options: Profile, Explore, Events, Photos, Communities, and “More”. From this point go ahead and click on the last option – “More”. A side bar will open up with another set of options, and this time click the last choice to the right titled – “Pages”. Now, once the screen has loaded you’ll see on the upper right hand corner the option to create your page, click it!
At this point you’ll be directed to choose a category, and you should choose “Local Business or Place”. Now you’ll be instructed to enter the country in which your business is located and your business telephone number. If you’ve already registered your business on Google Maps then Google Plus will be able to find your business location profile and give you the option to link that business with your Google Plus business page. Just be sure your business information is correct and agree to the terms.
Personalize
Now you’ll be given the option to personalize your business page by adding cover photos, profile photos and filling in basic information. Sometimes photos might have to be cropped to fit correctly and have a snug look on your page. Also, you’ll have to add on your page how your business can be contacted. So you’ll be asked again to enter in your business email address, telephone number, and physical mailing address. Once you’re done with uploading your images and entering your contact information scroll to the bottom right of the page and click – “Finish”. Your business page is now live and created, congratulations!
Business Verification
You’ll now notice on the top of your Google Plus page a notice saying you’re currently unverified. Go ahead and click on the notice. During this process you’ll be physically mailed a document with a PIN code, and once you receive it (in about a week) you’ll log in to your account and verify your business location. So if you’ve already done this with Google Local you’ll still have to complete this process again in order to connect the Local account to your Google business page. Once you get your pin you can see the “Enter PIN” option on you main page when logged in.
Well, there you have it. You should now have a business page on Google Plus in addition to your personal page.
