Sure, it’s not Halloween or New Year’s Eve, but you can still party like a rock star this month. No holiday should ever go to waste, with a little bit of creativity you can even have a wild Easter-themed night. Think outside of the box! Here are a few ideas to get your wheels turning.
Easter Egg Ball
When I was in college, I went to an “Easter Egg Ball” at a fraternity house. It was the night before Easter. In honor of the holiday we all wore white t-shirts and the fraternity supplied dozens of magic markers. We drank and danced all night, while we decorated each other’s shirts like Easter eggs. In the beginning we appropriately drew pastel patterns on each other, as the night progressed our patterns evolved into mild profanity and phone numbers, but it was a BLAST!
Easter Egg Hunt
You can have an adult themed Easter Egg Hunt. Instead of hiding real eggs, you can go to any store during this time of year and purchase colorful plastic eggs that can be opened and filled with trinkets. The eggs come in all sizes, you can buy some the size of a regular egg, or some that are nearly the size of a softball. At our Easter Party last year we had a table in the living room filled with gifts and trinkets (a bottle of wine, a $20.00 gift card for the mall, a huge Easter basket full of candy, and a few smaller random prizes). We numbered each prize on the table and then wrote the corresponding number on a piece of paper and put them inside the plastic Easter eggs. We hid them throughout the house, and whatever egg you found determined what prize you received by the number in it. You may want to ask a few friends to throw down on some of the prizes because this game could get a little expensive depending on how many prizes you give out.
Easter Egg Pong
For the competitive drinkers you can organize a beer-pong tournament. You can substitute an Easter egg for a ping pong ball. You will want to use a plastic egg, a real egg will turn into a mess if they miss the cups, and a hard-boiled egg will knock the cups off the table.
A costume party is always fun, and you don’t have to wait until Halloween! Kmart and Walmart both sell head-bands during the Easter season with rabbit ears on them. A cotton tail can be purchased or made out of pillow stuffing. For the die-hard bunnies, a sexy Playboy Bunny costume can easily be converted into a very attractive Easter bunny.
Regardless of what activities you have at your Easter party, party favors are a cinch during this holiday. You can purchase inexpensive Easter themed bags and fill them with candy, or you could even give out small Easter baskets like what you received from the Easter Bunny when you were a kid. A great way to get the party started is to hand out the Easter baskets as your guests arrive and strategically place tiny bottles of different flavors of alcohol in them. At most liquor stores you can purchases single shots of liquor in tiny bottles for one or two dollars each.
