by fat vox

While most 12 year-olds were playing with Legos or out getting into trouble, Amir Homayoun Rafizadeh was learning and working within his mother’s pharmaceutical company in Iran. Amir spent his summers learning the different facets of the business.

Amir parlayed his early experiences surrounded by smart business owners into a strong career in business development and business intelligence. Amir now serves as the Director of Strategic Intelligence for Momentum Strategic Advisors LLC, which helps sales producers increase their sales and fine tune their strategies to take their business to a new level.

Aside from his work with Momentum Strategic Advisors, Amir also works with several businesses and nonprofits in the Chicago area, including the Collegiate Entrepreneurs’ Organization (CEO). Asked why he gives time to organizations and people that need his help, Amir said that he was lucky enough to have mentors and people in his life who stressed the importance of always giving back.

2013 CEO National Conference

Amir Homayoun Rafizadeh will be speaking at the 2013 CEO National Conference in Chicago to students, entrepreneurs and faculty from across the country. Amir will be speaking about Red Bulling Your Network. From his own experience and success through years of building a strong network, Amir will share with students techniques and ways to be successful through building a network that will assist them in times of need. One of the strategies that Amir will be sharing with students is why and how to form strategic partners in related industries. “You have to understand industries close to you…think about strategic partners…centers of influence.”

Amir will join over seventy speakers during the three-day event at the Hyatt Regency McCormick Place. Over 1,000 students and young entrepreneurs will compete in competitions, participate in hands-on workshops, network with others, and have access to some of the best and brightest entrepreneurs and business leaders in the world.

Advice to young entrepreneurs

Asked for his best advice to young entrepreneurs, Amir replied, “If you focus on solving problems, the connections and money will always come.” Amir also stated that the leaps in technology have created more opportunities than ever available in the past. We now have access to thought leaders and successful entrepreneurs, whose stories were unavailable just a couple of decades ago. Amir stressed that students learn about the top people in their desired industry. “Learn what made them successful and learn about their failures as well.”
