I first stumbled upon the website ‘Inbox Dollars’ about two years ago when I was researching ways to make extra money online. I had recently started writing articles, and was looking for a few other opportunities to “nickel and dime it” as I like to say. I am a stay at home mother, so any little bit helps, I can do these things with the kids around so Its kind of nice.
Inbox dollars is best known for its paid e-mails, but there are many other ways to make money on the site. You can use its search engine to do web searches, take paid surveys, play games, shop online at selected stores, watch short video ads, or complete their cash offers, there is even a prize wheel that offers spins to win extra money.
Upon signing up for this site I received a $5 bonus, but the site does not let you collect your earnings until you reach $30. So how did I get there?
My favorite ways to earn cash on inbox dollars are doing the paid e mails. You don’t even have to go to your e-mail to access them now, you can access them directly from the site, which I find easier. I usually let them build up, and just check them all at once. The paid e-mails are usually $0.02 each, and you usually only get a couple per day. If you want to earn your $30 to cash out in a decent amount of time, you must complete some surveys or cash offers, these require a bit more investment, but they are where the money is when using these type of sites.
Cash offers are the most lucrative, it is really just a form of advertising. There are a bunch of offers for products and services, offering money to buy something, try something, or sign up for a website. I rarely partake in the offers, unless it is something I really need. I do take advantage of shopping online at the participating stores if I have something I need to buy, you earn back a certain percent of your purchase, depending on the store. This is especially helpful if you were already planning on buying a big ticket item, and it happens to be available in an Inbox dollars participating store. Surveys pay about $0.50 each, but sometimes it is hard to qualify for one, you will earn a spin on the prize wheel just for trying though, I usually earn $0.05. If you do qualify, surveys take about 20+ minutes on average, and are in my opinion mind numbing. Definitely not an exciting way to earn, but it isn’t hard, just long and boring
Web searches is another way to make money, you can make up to $0.15 a day. It is best to do a couple searches a day, every day of the week, to receive maximum earnings. This is a super simple way to earn, because almost everyone searches the web anyway. I try to use Inbox dollars for some of my searches everyday, even though its not my favorite search engine. There are also games, which I’m not a gamer at all, so I really don’t even go there. There is also short video ads to watch that pay a few cents each, but there are only a few on the site at a time.
So, how long will it take to earn that first $30 to cash out? It really depends what you are doing. If you do a bit of shopping on the web anyway, you will probably earn it faster and easier than most. But by doing some of the free offers, searching, and reading e-mails, I feel it is possible to earn $30 in less than a month. It really depends how dedicated you are.
