Jessica Alba has one of the sexiest bodies in Hollywood, but apparently all that beauty comes with pain – a lot of pain.
The “Sin City” actress admitted that she went to an extreme length to get her body back after giving birth to daughter Haven in 2011.
“I wore a double corset day and night for three months. It was sweaty, but worth it,” she told Net-a-Porter’s retail magazine, adding that it was “brutal” and “not for everyone.”
Uh, we’d say.
Alba has one of the most extreme post-baby weight loss tricks, but other celebrities do go pretty far to drop the weight quickly after giving birth.
Beyonce didn’t take any time off after giving birth to daughter Blue Ivy Carter in early 2012. The singer quickly committed to dropping the baby weight by scheduling concerts just a few months later.
“Y’all have no idea how hard I worked. I had to lose 60 pounds!” she told the crowd in Atlantic City back in May 2012. “They had me on that treadmill — I ate lettuce!”
How’d she do it? With a strict diet and a grueling workout routine, courtesy of her trainer.
“I ate a very low-calorie diet. I stayed away from red meat and ate a lot of fish, replaced pasta and rice with quinoa,” she told Self magazine.
Jessica Simpson was committed to dropping 50 pounds after giving birth to daughter Maxwell Drew Johnson in 2012. Why? She was getting paid for it! The Weight Watchers spokeswoman dropped the weight in record time, courtesy of a super restrictive diet. With the plan, the singer and fashion mogul reportedly consumed an all- smoothie diet for 15 days.
And she swears she loves the frothy drinks.
“I’m crazy about smoothies, so I bring fruit chopped up and ready to go. That way, I can sip the same smoothie all morning long between takes,” Simpson told Weight Watchers magazine in late 2012. “If it thins out, I put it back in the blender with crushed ice for a few minutes.”
Sounds… not appetizing at all.
Former “Jersey Shore” star Snooki has become the poster child for post-baby weight loss. The reality star is doing it the right way – with plenty of workouts and a sensible diet.
“If I can lose 42lbs after giving birth six months [ago], I mean, anybody could do it. You just need the dedication, and you need to want to have your body back,” she said in March.
