Is the Constant Content Writing Site Worth It?

by fat vox

Constant Content is a place where writers can submit articles for sale. The site has very strict standards and claims to only sell articles that are free of errors, plus contain good quality writing. Their rules for writers is “Three strikes and you are out.” This policy means if you submit three articles and there is one error in each one, you will be banned from the site forever. Discussed here are some things you might want to consider as to whether this site is worth it before submitting your writing.

Intimidation Versus Quality

When a writer has the threat of being kicked off a site for making three errors, the intimidation factor can harm writing with good flair. The editors go beyond rejecting articles for incorrect punctuation and spelling. They reject articles for “wordiness” or “coherence”, which puts a damper on a writer’s creativity.

The joy of writing is taken away when the fear of being banned from the site for life is hanging over the writer’s head. Much like a dictatorship that produces a society more controlled, the writing might be more perfect yet creativity and happiness is absent. The writer and the reader lose some good writing with such control by editors.

No Positive Feedback

Many sites that pay by the click will offer payment based on the number of people that read an article. With Constant Content the writer’s work is put on display with a description and short summary. No payment or feedback is given until the article sells. This can take a long time, or it might not sell at all.

Editors at this site are very harsh and even exaggerate mistakes. In submitting an article I had one sentence that had an extra space, and was told there were many space errors. In addition, a rejection based on the opinion of the editor that the article is too wordy is more like censorship than writing that is free of errors.

Good Writing Is More Than Money

If a writer has a magazine article published, there is a sense of pride and accomplishment that comes with being paid. When publishing with pay per click sites, watching which articles get the most hits gives a sense of satisfaction. Doing contract work as a hired writer shows their articles lived up to expectations. Writers should feel good about their work.

Writing articles displayed for sale on Constant Content offers money but may not give the satisfaction that a writer deserves. Harsh editors and intimidation that your account can be terminated at any time gives this site many disadvantages.
