Before we begin to ponder this question I would like to state that the picture that you see is in fact real and was taken by me. The photo was taken as is and it was not retouched or tampered with in any way. Now, let’s open our mind’s about the possibility or non possibility of the existence of a real fairy circle.
When and where did I take the picture? Today is Friday and I had the day off. It wasn’t too hot outside and I thought that it was the perfect day to go fishing. On the way there I turned the radio on and they were talking about the fact that it was a full moon last night and how some hospital staff seem to have a weird story to tell about the night of the full moon. When I arrive at my destination I realize the the weather has changed. It went from sunny to cloudy with a bit more wind. Being paranoid about lightening strikes I decide to put my gear away and take a walk to another spot hoping that the weather will change back to bright and sunny. That’s when I spotted the possible fairy circle. I decided to take the picture. So, there it is. As it turns out the weather didn’t change for a while so I decided to go back home and research this picture that I took.
What are fairy circles? This is what I found out by searching on the internet. Wikipedia seems to do a great job about explaining about fairy circles/rings.
Go here https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fairy_ring
Based upon the information as described by wikipedia my picture seems to fit the description of a fairy circle/ring because one of the pictures on the site also has a circle of lush grass.
My personal observations. First of all I’d like to say that I don’t make it a habit of going willy nilly about the unexplainable. Yes, I have a craving for the unexplainable but in my heart I always try to find a logical answer to those questions. So, here are the facts about my observations. It was a full moon and I saw the fairy circle when the sun first came out. Yes, the weather did turn to cloudy but that’s the thing that made me take a walk to the other fishing spot and to pass some time for the weather to improve. This is the first time that I have seen a possible fairy circle/ring. Every time I have ever walked that path the grass appeared to be healthy and green all around. And, the circle is located not very far from the water. Now, here’s the part that made me think that it was something that was unexplainable. As soon as I noticed the possible fairy circle/ring I suddenly felt a very slight chill for a few seconds. That’s when I took a picture and now as I write this it may be the reason why I didn’t stick around for too long. And, I don’t know if you could see it but inside the possible fairy ring are a few three leaf clovers. I’d just wanted to point that out because I’m not sure if that fact is related. When I got home the sun came back out and I thought to myself that I’ve had enough of excitement for this morning. I’ll bet your wondering if I stepped into the ring. I did not. After reading about the folklore I’m glad that I didn’t.
Final statements. I hope that you have enjoyed reading my story. For me, most things in life can be explained away. But, on that rare occasion, something appears that is unexplainable for the most part. Who knows, maybe more unexplainable occurrences will appear to me in the future. As always, I will maintain my logical thinking with an open mind as well. But, one thing is for sure. I need to be more strong and not run at the first sight of something that is unexplainable. We’ll see what the future holds for me. Take care! And the question still remains. Is this a fairy ring?
