Friendship Festival – now through Sunday, July 7th at Mather Arch in Ft. Erie, Ontario and Riverside Park in Buffalo. Both sides will feature midway attractions, live music, parades, food and more. Ellicottville Championship Rodeo – Thursday through Sunday, July 4th through 7th at the Rodeo grounds on Sommerville Valley Rd. in Ellicottville. The Rodeo is one of the biggest IPRA/APRA sanctioned events in the northeast. The Rodeo runs July 4th through 6th at 7 p.m. and July 7th at 2 p.m. – find out more about the event and tickets here.
Old Home Days – Tuesday through Friday, July 9th through 12th at Island Park, Main St. in the Village of Williamsville. Events include giant parade (Tuesday at 6:30 p.m.), bike rodeo (Wednesday at 11 a.m.), a YMCA 5K run (Thursday at 6:30 p.m.), midway rides, live music and performances, food and much more. Taste of Buffalo – Saturday and Sunday, July 13th and 14th on Delaware Ave. in downtown buffalo, from Niagara Square to Chippewa. The largest two-day food festival in the country will feature over 50 restaurants and food trucks from throughout the area. Hours are Saturday 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Sunday 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Canal Fest of the Tonawandas – Sunday, July 14th through Sunday, July 21st on both sides of the canal in Tonawanda and North Tonawanda. Features food and beverages, midway rides, demonstrations, live entertainment and more. Events include the Canal Fest parade (Tuesday, July 16th), Car Cruise (Wednesday, July 17th), Bike Cruise (Friday, July 19th) and the Arts & Crafts Show (Saturday and Sunday, July 20th and 21st).
Hamburg Burgerfest – Saturday, July 20th in the Village of Hamburg (around Main and Buffalo Sts.). Featuring car show (noon to 4 p.m.), burger-eating contest (3 p.m.), craft show (noon to 8 p.m.) and live music throughout the day.
Rock the Barn – Saturday and Sunday, July 20th and 21st at The Big Yellow Barn, 9105 Main St. in Clarence. Two days of blues music and great food to benefit the Newstead Clarence Meals on Wheels Task Force. Tickets are $20 in advance for both days – free for kids under 10.
Taste of Orchard Park and Caribbean Night – Wednesday, July 24th from 6 to 10 p.m. at the intersection of 20A and N. Buffalo St., as part of Quaker Days in Orchard Park. Sample food from a variety of restaurants and listen to live music.
Wines in the Wild – Wednesday, July 24th from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Buffalo Zoo, 300 Parkside Ave. in Buffalo. This 21-and-over event benefits the Zoo’s Adopt an Animal Program and features a variety of food and desserts, wine and beer, service vendors, and more. Glen Park Arts Festival – Saturday and Sunday, July 27th and 28th at Glen Park in the Village of Williamsville. The festival will feature more than 50 artisans, plus food, live entertainment and more. Hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. both days.
