Hotel Aspen InnSuites , located on the famous Route 66 , is a very reasonable place to stay if one is looking to spend some time in wonderful Flagstaff, Arizona . Hotel Aspen is slightly older than some of the other hotels around, but it is well maintained and very clean.
Hotel Aspen offers a wide range of amenities including but not limited to free breakfast, free parking, free Wi-Fi, free business center, outdoor swimming pool and a laundry room. The rooms are climate controlled and furnished with cable television, clock radio, coffee maker and refrigerator. If you have a pet, it is okay because pets are welcome at this location. The lobby desk is open 24 hours a day and housekeeping is provided on a daily basis. Also, if you happened to have forgotten your toothbrush or toothpaste, they do offer complimentary toiletries.
One of the reasons I was drawn to this particular hotel was for its closeness to a lot of things that Flagstaff has to offer. For instance, it is less than 2 miles away from the Lowell Observatory and less than 2 miles from Northern Arizona University . It is a quick drive to historical downtown Flagstaff that is full of shopping, dining and history. Want to go skiing while in Flagstaff? Hotel Aspen is just a quick drive to one of the hot skiing spots in Arizona, Snowbowl .
Hotel Aspen offers a variation of rooms to accommodate everyone and to ensure that their needs are met. Rooms vary in price ranging anywhere from $50 to slightly over $100 per night. The hotel usually offers deals online, so it would be a grand idea to keep your eyes peeled for the best deals possible.
I highly recommend this hotel if you are looking to stay somewhere that is inexpensive yet comfortable. When I stayed at Hotel Aspen, it was during the winter so the swimming pool was drained and closed but the pool area still looked nice. The dining area where they have a free buffet style breakfast was a good size with a fireplace and television. The food was amazing and included a variety of different breakfast foods. The staff were very courteous, and the second night I stayed, the hotel had social hour in the dinning room that included some food and free beer and wine.
The only problem I had at the hotel was that I couldn’t get the heat to work, and after placing a call to the front office, the maintenance employee was quick to show up and fix the issue. As I mentioned above, the hotel is a little older, so the rooms may have some wear and tear. Overall, I would definitely frequent this hotel again.
