There are many different scenarios where a person might take a beer. For one guy, he’s sitting around the table with friends, playing cards. He can get up and go to the bathroom, leaving his beer at the table, and probably not worry about it. For another guy, he’s sitting around a campfire. When he needs to use the bathroom, he has to set his beer on the ground – probably – and go to the woods. But with either scenario, things could happen to the beer. By the campfire, it can get knocked over as someone walks past. At the poker table, a person can stand up, realize he’s had too many beers, and stumble a little. There goes the beer. Those guys – and you – need magnetic drink cozies!
A magnetic drink cozy is useful in more than one way. It keeps the beer colder but it also offers a handy gadget that lets you stick your beer to the refrigerator, the side of a vehicle, or another metal surface. You’ll never have to set your beer down on the ground, on the bed of your truck, on a table with some pranksters, or elsewhere away from you. Instead, you can secure it on any metal surface.
It’s not really all that hard to make your own drink cozy. You cut out foam, sew or glue it in a certain way, and you create a round bottom, with a tall band that surrounds the beer. The foam is available in many colors and can be found at a craft store. It’s really cheap so the homemade cozy will not cost a lot of money.
Much easier than making a drink cozy is to just buy one. You can often find one for a dollar or less and it likely has designs already on it. So, if you have a favorite sports team, or you just want to tell the world what you think, your beer cozy can represent. It’s very easy to turn a regular drink cozy – whether made or bought – into a magnetic version.
Purchase a heavy-duty magnet to transform the drink cozy into one that will stick to a metal surface. Buy quality magnets online and at large home improvement stores. Glue the magnet to the side of the cozy and it’ll be ready to use as soon as the glue sets. Make sure that you glue the magnet to the side opposite the image, if there is an image.
Now you can take your beer with you to the fridge and stick it there as you take out stuff to make a sub. Or, you can stick the beer to the side of your truck when nature calls. You’ll never come back to discover your beer has been spilled by someone else.
