Doesn’t it seem like everyone is into quick fixes these days? Grocery store shelves are filled with treats, drinks and more that promise to raise your energy, clear your brain fog and brighten your mood. Problem is these are all temporary fixes at best. Then, there’s the crash. Pretty soon, you’re right back reaching for another quick fix. Wouldn’t it be nice if there were a longer lasting mood booster? I have good news for you. There are several.
Get a life!
Did that sound rude? I don’t mean to make you feel bad, for sure. The point is to get you doing something that sparks your creativity, your zest, zeal, zip and enthusiasm for life. Is there something you’ve always wanted to do? Do it! Stop waiting for the perfect moment, the perfect financing or the perfect opportunity. I know it works because I’ve done it. I’m so happy now that I’m doing what I love. You can be too. Make like a sneaker and just do it. You’ll be in a good mood for the rest of your life.
Be happy inside!
Happiness has nothing to do with experiences outside the mind. Happiness is a mood you create for yourself. Boost your mood with positive thinking. Forget all that stuff about kicking negative people out of your life and such. If you’re strong enough inside, none of that matters. Create your own aura of happiness. Grow it outward to energize everyone around you. Relish it, exude it, steep in it. It’s all in your head. You are in control. You have the power to boost your mood on a continual basis with your own thoughts.
Forget all that nonsense about venting your feelings. Your feelings are just fine. They don’t need venting. Venting puts the focus on your negative thoughts. The more you talk about them, share them and write about them, the bigger they get. You create your own little unhappy world by moaning and complaining all the time. Instead, work on the solutions. Don’t talk about the bad stuff. Talk about the good stuff. Make that your priority. Pretty soon those good thoughts will smother the bad. You’ll be a happy camper every day of your life.
Get over it!
Every person in every walk of life and every financial situation has days that test their mood. Don’t let those days get to you. You are not alone. Bad things happen to everyone. Stop feeling sorry for yourself because of your situation. Guess what? Even if you think there is no hope for your future, there is always something you can do to change it. So get up, get out and get busy. If you don’t do it for yourself, who will?
Share your good moods.
One of the best things in life is making other people happy. Do you know someone who could really use an encouraging word? It’s hard to be miserable around happy people. When you get your own mood boosted, pass it on. It’s the best feeling in the world to put a smile on someone elses face. Sharing your good news, good feelings and positive messages doesn’t just help the beneficiary. It helps you too. Sure, it’s a bit corny. Who cares? It works.
Don’t buy into the hype.
Why flit from quick cure to quick cure looking for your next high? You are your own best mood booster. You don’t have to buy anything to be happy. Forget about hourly energy. Eat right. Get exercise. Concentrate on the positive. Give yourself a happy life. Ignore the naysayers. Better yet, give them a reason to be happy too. Share the love. Embrace your life. Live it to the fullest. Trends come and go. They’re fleeting. True happiness is always waiting within you, regardless of circumstances.
