I walked in to a movie house without any movie in mind and when I saw the preview of Movie 43. I was simply astounded when I saw, Richard Gere, Kate Winslet, Hugh Jackman, Naomi Watts and many others that I primarily love.
At first, it was a an eye popping scene and thought that Hugh Jackman is carrying a dangling scrotum under his chin like a clock pendulum. I was a bit surprised that it got actually approved for the General and public viewing since that it’s already counted as obscene.
As the movie keep on rolling, I have direly tried to stop myself from vomiting for some of the parts, like “dump on me” part where the girl asked the guy to dump on her as a sign of his love. Another scene is the “home school boy” whereas it is utterly disturbing to showcase a platform of incest (mother kissing the kid) and mental torture to the boy.
I mean, I don’t really have to recount the entire story as most of you have definitely seen it, grossed out of it and talked about it.
But this is not why I am writing about this movie. Obviously it was star-studded–packed with A-List celebrities and these are well established people in the industry. The Farrelly brothers obviously is not a pair of newcomers or wannabe Hollywood directors. They have names, even though some people called them low-life and some other derogatory terms.
I don’t think they never expected such a bad case all over the world, this is somehow well calculated and expected that people would actually talked about their abominable piece and hired big stars.
While everyone is busy regurgitating Hugh Jackman’s ball sack in the flesh, the production crew, casts, producers and directors are counting their millions for hitting the box office hit even though it is being splattered by boiling asphalt of aggression and impunity.
After watching this movie, I feel like somehow that there is something behind the idea of this and the rantings of the media–not to mention the threatening of Sen. Hilary Clinton for sanctioning the film producers and directors for the violation of human rights and religious ethics.
In my analysis, these people are experts and geniuses–don’t get me wrong, I am not praising this corpulent movie but right exactly the moment they formed this project they already obviously consulted the experts, medias and other friends from the industry. Like what Richard Gere had claimed in one of his media interview that he will never watch the Movie 43 himself and that he only did his step daughter’s Godfather a favor. He also said that, whenever there’s a film offer… he always make sure that it is worthy of his time and don’t need to bother reading the scripts himself and go through it.
Do you really believe that these stars would actually risk their names being casted in a dork spatted project? There must be a “price” that’s at stake here.
I’ve seen and read a lot of media articles, blogs, news, updates and others about this movie. But there’s only one thing that I can say.
Everything went on as planned. The entire world had seen it and talks about it.
It’s a box office hit.
