Music festivals are honestly a thing of the past for many folks. I am in personal a music lover, I get pleasure listening to music, I get pleasure playing my favorite music and watching my favorite bands and artists perform as well. However, for the last three years, everything concerning music festivals has fully changed. Everything within the festivals is in such a way to make you not fancy the music, not even a bit. Here is why I will never again attend any music festival; I would rather watch it live on my TV.
- 1. Overvalued tickets
I have always felt like music festivals is a waste of money and resources because for one, I will be required to pay like five hundred euros for a price ticket simply to travel to an exclusively jammed festival where I would neither get to hear the music notes nor see the artist performing. On top of that, I need food, water and of course alcohol that i ought to pay for. Considering all these costs, it makes more sense to watch the performances live on TV at home comfortably.
- 2. Traffic on the roads
Traffic sucks a lot. Imagine more than a thousand vehicles all heading to the same place. Matter of fact, I remember sometime last year getting stuck for two hours on my way to a music pageant simply because the vehicles were moving at terribly slow pace up to the point of relinquishing. By the time I got to the venue, the performances had already started so I vowed to never again attend any other music festival.
- 3. Annoying crowd
Some folks attend music festivals simply to irritate the others having fun. There is this cluster of young girls and boys most likely high school youngsters who would never let me have fun peacefully with their screaming and elbowing people around their way maliciously. They just make sure anyone never hears anything from the bands performing.
- 4. Usual bands and artists
It is funny how, many music festivals bring the same artists they brought the previous year when there are many other new bands and artists with better music out there. Who on earth wants to see the same bands perform in festivals year in year out. What appalled me even more is that the fans hardly care about those old bands’ new stuff; they seem to get more excited when their old favorite songs are played. I think music pageant organizers ought to examine this and replace those bands with new hot others.
- 5. Robbers everywhere
I said this before and trust me not everybody is there to have fun. Some folks are there to earn themselves some living through the incorrect manner. Festivals are drug and alcohol fuelled and robbers always take advantage of the situation and get into work. I had a friend who got drunk to the point of having a blackout and all his stuff was gone. So next time a music festival is on the schedule, please apprehend the drug and alcohol limits.
