My personal brand is made up of six main steps. Each person or company has it’s own brand. For example Apple sells computers, software, and phones. Apple’s brand is focused and competitive. My first step to defining my personal brand is, “The pillars or qualities that describe me.” Hardworking, respectful, passionate, responsible, and dedicated are the five main pillars that describe me. When the world reads me these are the unique qualities they get.
My second step to defining my personal brand is, “Ranking my qualities.” People tend to remember one special thing about a person rather than several. I rank being respectful as my number one quality. Respect is one of the most important qualities a person can posse. Companies tend to remember respectful people rather than people who aren’t.
The third step to defining my personal brand is, “The mission statement.” The mission statement is the most important statement someone makes to a company. This is the promise you make to your customers, a company, or an employer. My mission statement is, “Obtain a position with a professional organization to utilize my knowledge, skills, and abilities securing future long term employment. I would like to contribute to the overall success and growth of the organization becoming a valuable company asset allowing me to achieve financial goals and a rewarding career.
The fourth step to defining my personal brand is “Adjusting my online identity with my mission statement.” My online identity is a very important tool when it comes to defining my personal brand. When someone searches for you on the web, it is very important that they receive quality, accurate, and positive information. Facebook, Twitter, Insatgram, and LinkedIn are all tools that can identify your personal brand
The fifth step to defining my personal brand is, “Creating my own personal website.” All of the social media websites are great to connect and grow your personal brand, but a personal website sets you apart from the rest. Building a website based on your domain name is the best way to build a website. Once you own your domain name to a website, it is yours forever. Your personal website is your online real estate.
The sixth and final step to defining my personal brand is, “Living my personal brand.” It’s a different concept when it comes to showing your personal brand and living it. If someone reads you and sees you don’t live your personal brand your worthless. Your personal brand is a lifestyle.
