The 49ers defeated the Packers in week 1 by six points and then lose one road game to the Seahawks in week 2, and later would go on and be defeated by the Colts in week 3. Leading up to week 8, the 49ers were steam rolling over mediocre teams that would not question their competitive nature — since defeating the Packers in week 1.
The 49ers would go on to lose two games; one in week 10 against the Carolina Panthers and the other game against the New Orleans Saints in week 11. Even though the scores were eerily close in comparison in the outcome of each game, the 49ers would later go on a six-game winning streak. At best, the 49ers were never battle-tested by a top-notch team in or out of their respective division.
Colin Kaepernick’s sometime eerily resemblance to Joe Montana leads his San Francisco fans in a false direction. The 49ers offense fall prey to the Packers defense, leaving Kaepernick with little to no option at having a successful air attack.
San Francisco 49ers QB Colin Kaepernick 3197 yards and 21 touchdowns mark a coming of age for the 26-year old QB. However, time is not something Colin Kaepernick has; due to overwhelming circumstances at Lambeau Field can be unforgiving. The Packers 24th ranked defense will not seem to be the old and tired defense in their wild card matchup against Colin Kaepernick. The Packers rise to the occasion and lead their team to the next level in the 2014 playoffs.
The return of veteran signal-caller Aaron Rodgers was a welcome sight for Packers fans thirsty for another wild card home game. Aaron Rodgers managed a competitive game against a favorite Chicago Bears team picked by Vegas Odds Makers to advance in the playoffs. If it were not for the veteran signal-caller, there would have been no way the Packers advance in the 2014 playoffs.
Green Bay Packers QB Aaron Rodgers 2536 yards and 17 touchdowns in 2013 gave hope to Packers fans who assumed that their team would be a natural write-in for the NFL playoffs in 2014. The Packers have dealt with injuries all season long and Aaron Rodgers mid-season collarbone injury put a damper on the Packers playoff hopes, that being said, the Packers offense may not be a perfect, but their drive to win another Super Bowl fall on the shoulders of their veteran signal-caller.
