Recently, I was able to successfully quit smoking using a combination of the nicotine patch and electronic cigarettes. I was never good at remembering to recharge batteries, so when I decided to buy an electronic cigarette, I went for a disposable model. My local gas station sold just one brand of electronic cigarette, so the Blu eCig was the first one I tried.
I liked the flavor of the Blu electronic cigarette. It was minty and slightly sweet. It didn’t quite taste like a real cigarette, but I enjoyed the flavor very much. The Blu eCig was very heavy, and felt very much like a heavy electronic device as opposed to an actual cigarette. I thought the Blu light on the tip of the electronic cigarette was very cool and chic looking, but several friends and family members commented that it looked “weird” or “goofy”. I found that the Blu brand electronic cigarettes lasted for quite a while–perhaps two packs worth of “real” cigarettes. This made the Blu eCigs an absolute fantastic value.
After trying the Blu electronic cigarettes, I saw an advertisement on the internet for a free trial of a different disposable eCig called NJOY. Unlike a Blu eCigarettes, the NJOY was designed to look and feel as close to a real cigarette as possible. I found that the flavor of the NJOY was much closer to cigarette smoke than a Blu ecig, which could be a good or a bad thing depending on how you look at it. In terms of weight. I liked the NJOY much better because it was almost the exact same size and weight of a real cigarette–this made it feel great in my hand.
The one disappointment I had with the NJOY was the length of time the electronic cigarette lasted. While the Blu eCig lasted for approximately two packs worth of puffs as promised, I felt like the NJOY barely lasted for a half-pack worth of puffs. In fact, there were times that my NJOY lasted just two or three taping sessions. This was very unsatisfying for a disposable product that cost almost $7.99. For the price, I would expect the NJOY electronic cigarette to last a lot longer.
All things considered, I think that I personally prefer the NJOY electronic cigarette to the Blu eCig. Although both are great products and I have spent my money on both of them, I personally like the realism of the NJOY better than the trendiness of the Blu cigarette. Although the NJOY definitely costs more per puff, in the end, drags off of NJOY electronic cigarettes satisfy me more than drags of Blu. These are just my opinions–both products are less than $10 and are widely available, so feel free to conduct your own product preference test and post YOUR results in the comments section of this article.
