David de Gea (Manchester united)

The Spaniard is currently 6th keeper with the most clean sheets and has notably made key saves to keep the devils 10 point away from rivals city.

Pablo Zabaleta (Manchester city)
Facing a lot of competition from the likes of Kyle Walker(Spurs), Rafael (United), Glen Johnson(Liverpool) Zabaleta although having the his fewest appearances in a season for city was unquestionably one of City’s best players in view of his continued performance consistency.
After winning March’s player of the month for succesive exceptional performances the spurs defender bound to be on the team of the year. He has also proved to be a contributor to spurs goals this season minus his defensive ability.
Rio Ferdinard(Manchester United)
Considered as one of the players past his prime Rio Ferdinard managed to pull out of the closet a season winning performance that even gained him a recall to the england squad that he was unable to answer due to fitness concerns
Leighton Baines (Everton)
Having recorded his highest scoring season for everton with a few games left to play Baines was a deserved selection. His defending and pace also placing him above the likes of Evra.
Micheal Carrick(Manchester United)
Entering this season Carrick wasn’t in any of the premier league spotlights. However proving himself indispensible to the heart United midfield, Carrick helped manchester to the title arning himself a spot on the team of the year.
Juan Mata (Chelsea)
Having participated in the summer olympics mata has played several more games than most this season but still kept consistent. He won the October and December 2012 player of the month awards and currently leads the league in assists(12).
Eden Harzard (Chelsea)
Known for his remarkable start to the premier league Eden Hazard’s name was almost set in stone for the team of the year. He mangaged 18 assists and 13 goals in total for the season and is known for his entertaining spectators.
PFA player of the year and PFA young player of the year Bale’s position on the team was to say the least expected. Also 3rd topscorer in the league only behind two phenomenal players Gareth Bale has steered the Totenham ship solely after the departure of Luca Modric.
Robin Van Persie (Manchester United)
Last season topscorer back to defend his crown though in new stripes has already won the league. He is top of the scoring table and has scored for manchester united momentous goals like the winner against rivals City. More than appropriate entry for the team of the year.
Mr.Controversy call him what you want! This actions have cost his clun a lot reputation wise but above his shenanigans is football. Lead the league is scoring before his ban also the reason why Liverpool managed to manuever from the second half of the table he couldn’t be left out.
The list complies of the 11 best but others come close and should arguably be included.
Santi Carzola (Arsenal) who had a hell of a first beating the cliché of international players suffering in their first seasons. So did Michu(Swansea) who was bought for only £2.2m scoring 17 goals also in his debut season.
