Now it is about time for the next generation on consoles to be released to the gaming world. Sony has been working hard on its PS4, but will it be enough to outmatch the rival Microsoft has set up? The Xbox One is going to be released towards the end of the year 2013. This is an energizing bit of news for gaming fans all around the world. Particularly the Xbox fans, who have been waiting anxiously for Microsoft’s next generation console.
When Microsoft initially announced that they were working on the Xbox One, they said that gamers might not have the ability to acquire games from their friends, or buy second-hand titles, without likely paying an expense for it. They also stated that playing games might require an internet connection first, to check the authenticity of the game and determine that all the needed authorizations and licenses provided in the original game were there. In other words the Xbox One has been said not to be backward compatible and the same game cannot be used for two different consoles.
Xbox One Music is an additional feature Microsoft added; nonstop streaming of the favorite songs of the gamer. Rumors have stated that the new Xbox will have Kinect connecting capability. The Xbox 360’s standard gamepad controller is unquestionably one of the best of the present era, so Microsoft didn’t have to change any basics for the its form. There are over 10 minor advancements made by Microsoft. It is said that the Xbox One will be able to support up to eight controllers at a time, but this wasn’t taken seriously by the public and it remains an unconfirmed rumor.
In the initial stages of the news of its release, the Xbox One received a great amount or negative criticism; mainly owing to the fact that it will not be backward compatible and online internet gaming will not be free. This means that gamers will have to purchase the new games designed specifically for the Xbox One and the games of the Xbox 360 will not be functional on the new console. It also means that users will have to pay approximately $20-40 per year in order to access the features of Xbox Live to their full extent. These drawbacks placed the PS4 in the lead but Microsoft is quickly making changes to its product.
When I used the Xbox One it was hard to believe. Before usage I had heard plenty of rumors surrounding this console stating that, to put in a short sentence, it was a disappointment after the Xbox 360. When I played games on it however I quickly realized that rumors were just rumors. In my opinion, Microsoft should have made internet gaming free. Still, the graphics were excellent and I have to say that Sony will have to watch out as it will be a really close call between the Xbox One and the Ps4. The greatest disappointment was that the Xbox One was just a plain box, while the PS4 offered a good design.
