“Are you still single?” Friends and co-workers have dogged me with this question for years. Even in the 21st century, women like me – over 30 and childless – feel the weight of our situations. So, what brings us relief? A good dose of reality TV. Certain stars of this genre show us that every pot has a lid.
Reality TV Wives who give single women hope:
- Mama June a.k.a. Plain Jane. The matriarch of “Here Comes Honey Boo Boo” has been made fun of by viewers since season one. From her excessive weight to her down home cooking, she’s a real-life caricature of a country bumpkin. Yet, what endears her to most fans is that she exemplifies a Plain Jane – the girl with a wonderful personality that will never be featured on the cover of a fashion magazine. Regardless of looks, Mama June loves hard – especially her girls. And – in return – she’s gotten that love back particularly from life partner Sugar Bear.
- Kim Zolciak a.k.a. The Other Woman. What happens to a mistress after she finally parts way with the married man who’d been paying her bills for years? She supports a friend that’s dancing in a local event and meets the big-butted man of her dreams. NFL-player Kroy Biermann swept Kim Zolciak from the “Real Housewives of Atlanta” off her feet. He put a ‘ring on it’ and instantaneously became a husband and father. Her checkered past was inconsequential.
- Kris Jenner a.k.a. The Business Woman. Even before starring in “Keeping Up with the Kardashians”, Kris Jenner had her own business. She used her smarts to draw in customers and teach her daughter along the same venue. Her personality type is one that some men are intimidated by – they fear a gal like her has no need for male attention. Fortunately, ex-tennis star Bruce Jenner felt differently and since 1991 the two have been a man and wife.
- Joseline Hernandez a.k.a. The Stripper. “Love & Hip Hop Atlanta” star Joseline Hernandez is the ultimate naughty girl. From stripping to criminal activity, she’s been bad. Entering the world of rap was a vast improvement, but still involved controversy. This female actively pursued another woman’s husband who worked in this field while building her career – and got him! The two recently wed. Stevie J is her spouse and they plan on making babies.
In conclusion, the above reality TV wives give single gals hope. Regardless of our condition, we know some guy out there will fall head over heels in love with us – as long as we keep looking.
