Not only is Red Apple Lipstick being talked about in magazines, but they have also been appearing all over the blogs that I follow as a vegetarian. So, I thought that it was time to try out their products, and here are my thoughts:
The sheer variety of color choices was hard to wrap my head around, so I had to narrow it down to the best of the best. I chose these lipsticks and this lip gloss because they were raved about on all of my favorite blogs and in the reviews on the company’s website. And the most stunning products are:
1. Sunkissed– lipstick
2. Crush on Me– lipstick
3. Bridesmaid– lip gloss
I really wanted a bright orange lip color and I just couldn’t resist Sunkissed once I saw it! Sunkissed was by far the brightest and most vibrant lipstick that I selected to try, so I was eager to see what it looked like on me. Surprisingly, the color was not as overwhelming as I thought it would be, which made it much more appealing to me. Its orangey-red color was very evenly balanced, and that orange I was looking for was still noticeable. Sunkissed definitely went perfectly with my summer tan too!
As far as the texture of the lipstick I found it to be smooth and silky, just as the reviews had said on the company’s site. I also found it to be very moisturizing, which is great for me because my lips are always drying out. The texture also reminded me more of a lip gloss, without the stickiness. I wore this color when I went out for drinks and it stayed on for longer than any of my other lipsticks. I would definitely recommend this color for going out at night; it’s a show-stopping lip color!
2. Crush on Me
Crush on Me is a perfectly balanced pretty, pink color that I love with my complexion. This color is great for everyday use with its subtle hints of sparkle. Since it is so light I was excited to see that this lip color really did show up nicely and stayed on for longer than expected. Like Sunkissed, this lipstick is also highly moisturizing, which I love!
I would definitely recommend these lipsticks. They are both great colors for very different occasions. One is sassy and one is naturally beautiful. Regardless of the occasion, I thought that they were both exceptional for being so natural and healthy.
The Lip Gloss
Then I tried one of the lip glosses. I usually prefer lipstick because of the inevitable sticky feeling left behind by lip gloss, but I had high hopes for this gloss one after my exceptional experience with Red Apple’s lipsticks.
Although there was that all-too-familiar stickiness while wearing this lip gloss, the color was fantastic! And it stayed on all throughout my evening when I wore it out. I never had to reapply it and afterwards when I got home, my lips were so moisturized that I wore it the next day.
I was really impressed by the texture and how it made my lips feel. Even more than the texture, the deep pink color with the added sparkle made for a great going out lip gloss. Bridesmaid has just enough pink to show through all of the gloss and shine, which is a nice touch.
Just like the reviews on other blogs and the website, I have to agree that this makeup brand is worth talking about. And it’s healthy! So check out Red Apple Lipstick for yourself and let me know what you think!
