The best hotel I have stayed at is hands-down Comfort Inn located in Terrell, Texas.
Imagine walking into a hotel. The lobby is very well-maintained with a beautiful staircase to the second floor, and you’re greeted by a smiling face welcoming you to the hotel. She promptly checks you in, talking to you as if she has known you all her life. Instantly, you feel at home with the decor, cleanliness, and ease of the check-in process. You are given your room, find it easily, and are assured that no matter what you might need, there will be a smiling face to provide it.
You have the pleasure of a leisurely swim and relaxing poolside with a book in hand. After a night of relaxing, you are met the next morning with the smell of breakfast wafting down the hallway. Bacon, eggs, sausage, freshly made waffles, coffee, fresh fruit, muffins, bagels, oatmeal, juice — almost anything you could want for breakfast is waiting for you. The staff in the morning is as friendly and welcoming as the night before, and you truly feel like you are on vacation.
The checkout process goes smooth and easy as you drag your feet back to the real world of responsibilities. That’s why I enjoyed the hotel so much. It was a refreshing break from the real world of worries.
Comfort Inn is located in a small town but is still close to many attractions. It is set off of the highway, has easy access, but is secluded enough to be a quiet, comfy place. There are a couple of local restaurants that are affordable and very high-quality. My favorite is the Cowfish Taco Shack, located less than a block away. The owner takes pride in having homemade Mexican cuisine.
The strip mall located directly across the highway is a great place to meet with friends and enjoy a day of shopping with unique shops. The Silver Saloon is less than five-minute drive away and offers Texas music at its finest. It provides great entertainment at a reasonable price with a very Western theme.
Comfort Inn of Terrell offers great rooms at reasonable price. We stayed in a beautiful Jacuzzi suite at around $80 a night. The suite included a spacious room that included a Jacuzzi tub. The jets were very relaxing after a full day of shopping. The room’s amenities included refrigerator and microwave, hair dryer, coffee maker, and cable television. The bathroom was newly renovated and absolutely gorgeous. The hotel amenities included a pool, hot tub, and modern workout room. We were able to use the guest computer center to check emails and keep up with work while on vacation.
