There was something nostalgic about the bottle of Naturelle Hemp Hydrating Conditioner, and honestly it was why I bought it. It took me back to my teen days, when my stoner friends and I would seek out anything and everything that had the infamous image of a pot leaf on it.
Those days are long gone, and my little silly trinkets all sold at yard sales or tossed into a box in my parents basement. However, here it was the old symbol of my teen years placed pleasantly on a bottle of conditioner.
It was a bit pricey, but the bottle was huge, and even though I bought it for other reasons aside from improving my hair, I hoped that it would work regardless. If not, I had a cool bottle of conditioner to add to my shower caddy.
Sorry folks, Naturelle Hemp Hydrating Conditioner will not smell like your burning funny cigarettes, Naturelle Hemp Hydrating Conditioner actually smells nice, but it has a somewhat of a dusty herbal undertone which I imagine was the companies attempt at making the conditioner smell like the real deal, only they missed the mark.
It is different though, unlike any conditioner I have ever smelled. Unique is what I’d stamp this one as.
I used a regular shampoo to go along with Naturelle Hemp Hydrating Conditioner. The conditioner is semi thick, and the thing I did not like about it was the first thing I did like about it, which was funny. The bottle itself is cool, there is no denying that. But the bottle also sucks at the same time as far as use goes.
The plastic is very thick, so thick that I could not at all squeeze the bottle to get the conditioner to work through the opening. Instead I have to sit there in the tub waiting for the conditioner to glide out by holding the bottle upside down like frigging ketchup!
After rinsing Naturelle Hemp Hydrating Conditioner out of my hair, it did feel very moisturized but I noticed a subtle buildup as to where my hair did not feel 100% clean and clear. I rinsed longer thinking that perhaps I did not get all of it out, but no matter how long I sat there rinsing my hair it still felt slightly weighed down. Moisturized, but weighed down.
I got out of the shower and let my hair naturally air dry to see if it made any difference. I noticed that my hair was very moisturized as it dried and there was significantly less frizz and flyaway.
All in all my hair was left feeling deeply moisturized, but it lacked the softness I would expect from any other conditioner. I imagine that on those with thinner hair (mine is very thick) that this conditioner may weigh it down slightly, so just use less of it.
Very decent. I would have liked my hair to feel softer, but moisture was what it needed, and moisture was exactly what Naturelle Hemp Hydrating Conditioner delivered.
